Re point 1, it's expensive, one day at a track day will cost more than the total of the gear if you really beat on a car, then you will need to renew the tyres, new brake pads/disc, engine oil, brake fluid and the entry fee.. then the urge of needing to go again.. and you make a mistake, there's no reset button, it will cost loads.
ОтветитьIs it worth getting one of the EA F1 games like F1 23 and F1 22 as a casual player to play on wheel? The wheel probably will be a logitech wheel.
ОтветитьI started with a cheaper wheel and F1 games and NASCAR games to get the more arcade/simcade vibes until I was comfortable enough to upgrade to iracing and eventually upgrade my wheel and pedals
ОтветитьThe hobby may be expensive, but it is far cheaper than an actual race car in maintenance alone.
ОтветитьI went ahead and bought a Logitech pro wheel and pedal set with a FGT elite 160 and also bought the psvr2. So happy I just bought the right stuff from the jump and won’t be looking to upgrade unless new wheels come out ;)

ОтветитьI am so ready for the idiotic never funny, complete waste of time editing memes into video nonsense to go by
ОтветитьI've only just started looking into getting into this hobby. Up until i realized that it's not much cheaper than actually racing a car. Sim racing setups are sickeningly over priced for what they are. It's a rich boys hobby. Usually richboys who still live with Mum and Dad.
ОтветитьI'm kinda getting into the new sim racing game business, but all I need is an affordable and comfy racing setup. I'm new to this, so what should I get to build my dream racing setup?
ОтветитьOC RACING
Ответитьmost people already have either a PC or console. I have both but prefer playing on console... too many cheaters on PC compared to console. I play PC2, GT7, F1 2023, AC, ACC and Dirt Rally on either my Playstation. I purchased a cheap Thrustmaster T150 and a playseat challenge that I can fold up and put away when not in use. This was quite cheap to setup and I have been happy using this for years. Racing is only an expensive hobby if you have to have the latest and greatest setup.
ОтветитьSo I have a question for anyone who has a straight answer because everytime I google it gives an ha. I have been looking into getting Fanatec CSL DD and I was wondering if I get a PC wheelbase but an Xbox compatible wheel can I use it on PC/Xbox?
ОтветитьI have a 69€ wheel and pedals, no force or haptic feedback and only turns 180 degrees, but its enough for me, for now
ОтветитьHey everyone so I’m now getting into sim racing I would appreciate it if someone give me a few tips. Should I go P.C. or console? Also looking to buy that Ferrari steering wheel and for pedals the logictech pedals. As for the cockpit I’m thinking about the next level cockpit I forgot the full name of it lol but it cost 900 bucks Damm but it’s like for serious players and I really like it. No I’m
Not rich I’m just goin to save up for it so any advice or tips ? Appreciate it thanks.
Going to get Ps5 soon, and currently got a Logitech g29, I want to play with my family racing games. What racing games do you recommend?
Ответитьtip from a viewers perspective - sound mastering .. the volume of your voice and the music in between is too high of a diference, it hurts my ears and i dont really want to sit here and change the sound volume of the video every 10 seconds
ОтветитьI don't have much spare time or money, so I bought a used wheel with table clamp, and pedals with carpet spikes. I like the driving to be pretty realistic but get straight into racing without too much faffing about so simcade is ideal. I started on some old Gran Turismo games but found out that even a pathetic non-gaming PC can run old games like Assetto Corsa, Richard Burns Rally, Live For Speed etc. My FFB wheel must be about as basic as they get, but without ever having tried a direct drive etc, I am blissfully unaware of the difference.
Ответитьcan you have like a thrustmaster t150 and a fanatec shifter
ОтветитьNo way you called gran turismo a “sim cade” when PD + Nissan find real drivers using GT . You should do your research on GT academy
Ответить…cost of a great monitor(s)
Ответить1. PRODUCT WILL FAIL AFTER WARRANTY. 2. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE 3. NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO FIX IT. 4&5 YOU ARE BUYING A DUST COLLECTOR.
ОтветитьWhere does the Formula 1 series of games categorize: Sim / Sim-Cade / Arcade?
I’ve been playing since 2019 thanks to drive to survive. But I’m thankful because that was never available as a child when watching Shumi tear up the field. So it was a good way to catch back up.
I get the feeling the game leans a bit towards the arcade feeling. All the elements of Formula 1 are in the game but what sets them apart is they cater to the casual player.
I’m not sure what’s going to happen to the franchise. Since EA all the other sporting games lean a little more towards the sim although I don’t know how true that is since you cant have an input that is like slap shooting a puck in real life like you can a wheel.
I’m looking to purchase as my first. I know it has to be responsive. My buddy and I play co op mode. He the PS4 myself the PS5. I love the feedback from the controller so having a wheel that is dead would be so brutal. I’d rather stay on the controller.
Any suggestions on a wheel, pedal, base DD system for $500CDN??
One thing... Simracing is expensive, games are boring, in the end I play forza horizon 5 with motion and sc2 pro... So
ОтветитьThere is always someone who cant drive and crash the field. So my 2 cent is to find another hobby. Thats what i did...
ОтветитьI think almost all of this would apply to flight sims as well. I have an itch to do some sim racing and combat flight simming. I've concluded that what I want is more a simcade (new word I learned here) experience on a console. I used to do sim racing many years ago, but modern simming requires a LOT of time if you want to be competitive.
ОтветитьFirst rule of commenting... don't feed the Trolls...
Simulators... rFactor 2, iRacing, ACC
SimCades... Assetto Cade uh Corsa, Gran Turismo, Forza
Games... I don't bother. 😁
Gran Turismo is a “sim-case”? 🤣
ОтветитьYep. Got a G923 as my first steering wheel... and I upgraded it to a Fanatec GT DD Pro within 2 months. You get what you pay for.
ОтветитьGetting into sim racing does not need to be that expensive. I spent 100€ on second hand g29 setup (wheel, pedals, shifter) and 4€ on asetto corsa from kinguin. Totally happy learning the basics with this setup and trying out if this is something I want to invest more time and money into. If I notice my self not enjoying the experience I can just resell the setup with little to no money lost.
ОтветитьAt last, good advice from a guy who knows what he is talking about .
ОтветитьSorry but gt especially gt7 is alot less forgiving then you think and much more realistic for the driving and phisics it is a sim not an arcade
ОтветитьMan i used a g29 and shifter with a cheap $70 wheel stand for 3 years i just upgraded to a full moza setup with clutch pedal cs wheel and hgp shifter and the hand brake now i just gotta upgradey wheel stand to something better im thinking next level WS 2.0 it looks like a tank probably the best wheel stand on the market i love the floor tray that holds the chair in place that's there biggest problem with what i got now especially when braking and the dd wheel base tries to throw the stand around i have to ratchet strap it to my desk
Ответитьthanks man!
ОтветитьI am checking out Project Cars 2. Frankly, tired of hearing I have to invest in a wheel and other hardware, just to see if I like "sim". Even a couple of hundred dollars is not chump change to me. I found controller settings for PC2, and checking out the genre using PC2 career mode. Using career mode, I can adjust the AI both for my skill level, and using a controller. I likely will only ever race AIs, no multi-player. Am I out of whack in this process?
ОтветитьLogitech G920 + shifter
Xbox Series S
27" 1080p gaming monitor
Sorted 😎
Things I wish I’d known: playing what is fun is way more important than playing what people consider the most realistic. I know there can be overlap for some people, but this isn’t always the case.
I never would have bought a curved monitor for my rig if I’d experienced VR first. There’s really no comparison in terms of immersion, at least on my budget. I don’t have 20k to drop on a rig.
What is the best Formula E game and hardware?
ОтветитьI'm really surprised more sim racing people don't use VR. Do the popular games not support it? I only play Dirt Rally 2.0. Personally I find the addition of depth perception utterly game changing and I can't imagine wanting to ever play on any kind of monitor setup again. I went from being totally useless on just about any technical stage to nailing hairpins regularly. I am still (for now) using my 20 year old Logitech wheel which is so old the force-feedback is no longer supported by drivers. Aside from being a much better driving experience because you can truly perceive the corners as they approach, VR is going to do way more for your immersion than a fake cockpit. It doesn't matter (for pure immersion at least) that your wheel is a cheap piece of plastic clamped to a desk because all you see is the interior of your car with your co-driver and everything. It really starts to feel like the gloved hands on the wheel are yours. If you combined it with a good force-feedback solution and one of those fancy moving rigs it would be absolutely insanely real feeling, really only lacking proper G-forces.
I think money for a rig and monitors is much more wisely invested in a good VR solution, again unless the game you want to play simply doesn't support it. But my experience at least is that once you experience racing in VR you will just stop playing games that don't support it. It's that much better. Another major bonus is that the VR can be used for many other awesome kinds of games as well, not just racing.
I am currenrly looking into starting this ive already saved up 46€ and am going on. I dont really want to spend more than 200€ but i want a wheel with 3 pedals and a shifter wich is really hard to find. I mabey could do 280. But i come from a mid-low class family. Do you guy have any suggestions?
(I have a ps4)
After all your years of experience your advice is:
have money, know what you want to play, don’t buy things for the wrong system, plan ahead, have room. LOL!!! Waste of time.
I'm over 20k Invested 2 motion rigs working on selling one. But I'm hesitant on joining iracing because of the investment it can be but it's nearly impossible to find online multiplayer racing on assetto Coarsa comp and project cars 3. Can anyone name a sim/arcade racing experience with others that's not iracing?
Ответитьchatgpt ahhh script
Ответить6. Aliens exist
ОтветитьI have only xbox Series S. Dirt 3 hope good my controller. I dont like simracing, I dont know what car setup. And what opponents race against?)
ОтветитьI find the cars in acc better drivable then grand turismo😭
ОтветитьDude, sound levels. The talking is way lower than most of the clips with other sound.
Ответитьcan u do a review of the new th8s?
ОтветитьSim: AC, ACC, Rfactor, R3E, Iracing
Simcade: GT, FM, PC and AMS
Arcade: FH, Grid, NFS, Crew
Why do you play music after every sentence you say?
ОтветитьCan you please make a new sim Tour projekt
