Toyota Rav 4 Oil Change (3rd gen 2006-2012)

Want to save some money and change the oil in your Toyota Rav 4, the 3rd generation Toyota Rav 4, model years 2006 to 2012 is quite easy to do. If the Oil filter housing is stuck you need a good tool with a deep reach. In addition, you need a 14mm wrench, and a 3/8 inch square drive if you want to remove the plug from the oil filter housing. The oil type recommended in the manual is 5W30 and the filter if you want to go aftermarket is a Fram TG9972. If you notice I used a tool that had shallow slots, there is a deeper tool that works better, especially if the housing is tight.
