Thanks Mark! I was able to do it. But apart from on/off/volume/up-down/mute/source commands(which I’m able to do), can we use other commands like play xyz movie on Netflix or a song on Spotify on tv?

My 2019 RU series uHDTV fails to recognise such commands - google assistant says “tv doesn’t have this feature”

Smartthings app couldnt find my samsung series 6 TV! Phone and tv are connected in the same wifi, favtory reset my tv and still nothing. Help!

I have a TV that is not a smart tc

How could you do this on an LG tv my TV is a smart TV

Wierd, i connected it to my google home and tv, including LG thinq app, linked all accounts and apps, and the google home device wont allow me to tell it to "play (insert movie or show title here) on my tv" which is what I named it in my settings, and it still wont do what I say. Says "no devices with that functionality were found". Yet it considers my tv as a tv in the description of that device... So sad.

So odd! All of my stuff is linked through SmartThings, I can turn on and off the TV using the Google Home
Yet I canf play anything on Netflix because it needs the device name... wondering if the fact that its named TV is the issue

Is there any possibility to do this with LG TV (WebOS)? I use a Tuya Smart Infrared Hub and it worked fine. But now Google Assistant has stopped controlling the TV and only turns it on/off. It doesn't change channels or increase/lower volume.

My Q80t used to be able to change hdmi input but won’t anymore. Have anyone tried this before?
I have tried reconnecting to SmartThings and tried different commands in different languages, but always results in invalid command or a google search instead.
I can turn on and off, and change volume if I say my soundbar instead of TV.

My movies apps do not link anyone else have this problem?

Can you manage to play content on your tv using it? When I speak in Spanish don’t let me, and when I ask Google to play something on Netflix in English she aswer “ok, playing on Netflix” but doesn’t do nothing 🙃

Yes it works as you've described. The issue is I cannot turn on video services like Netflix though Google Home Mini.
