I would like to paste two images that have common portions. Is there a command to overlay common areas? Thank you.

Great tutorial, narrated at a pace that is easy to absorb - is there an erase brush to restore areas that maybe have been taken too far?

Hello, great video. May I ask you, how you decide how far you drag up or down the curve for either the dodge or burn layer. Many thanks

Wow you explained it way better than retouching academy free training. I'm new to dodge and burn and as a videographer I completely understand
the highlight and shadow blending techniques after watching this tutorial.
thank you very much. 🙏🏽

Sometimes when you are dodging and burning, there is a slight color shift in those areas that you've d&b'd. Is there a "best" technique to fix that?

feel so annoying but you are the only techer that explains things well. I see that many retouchers desaturate areas that were dodged and burned, with a clipping mask. What is your opinion on this?

Kayleigh, this is a brilliantly simple dodge and burn technique. I’m going to move to this for my landscape work. I think it will be much more natural than HDR.

Thanks for this. I bought your Domestika course and it taught me a lot and this a really good update. I’m so glad that the trend is moving toward more gentle retouching.

Why don't you use mixer brush tool for dodge and burn? Why the normal brush?

Beautiful!!! the best way to retouch skin, i prefer this by far over frequency separation. I started retouching your technique after watching some of your older videos. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Thank you for sharing your techniques. It's interesting and useful. Have you tried doing any of this in Capture One? There are dodging and burning tools there too. Do you find those to be less precise?

Wow, that’s a super long-winded way of setting up your dodge and burn layers. Do you not like the grey layer set to overlay and painting with b&w? That’s so much better way imho, since you don’t have to switch layers and it’s incredibly simple to press x to swap between b&w. Also, no mask is necessary.
