—roman emperor Jesus. Or Julius Chris…. born a hebrew roman emperor 3rd generation with his other wife Minerva…. He was head of Constantine’s navy and given kingship over the navy. he withheld it when his brothers warred…having them go the long way as a lesson that he is first son.

Actually he was supposed to be a general who usurped the throne of Emperor Philip the Arab for a couple of years

Well anything can be said about Sponsiani, although there are a couple of things that don't actually don't add up with him being a roman emperor:
1) It looks like an imitation coin
2) Reverse is used from a republican (much older coin)
3) the coin is neither IMP SPONSIANUS AVG nor IMP SPONSIANUS NOBC, the IMP SPONSIANI is a vulgar latin that doesn't respect the roman coinage
4) Weight standard doesn't respect roman coinage
5) Considering the fact that dacian used to have 2 different coins used for their imitation coins for example KOSON was inspired from 2 roman coins. And many dacian coins (which are roman imitations) have parts 2 different coins in their composition
6) Analysis of the metal succesfully locates this coin in Dacia (Transylvania)

Considering all above facts IMHO is more plausible that SPONSIANI was in fact a Dacian leader that proclaimed himself emperor. Now if his deeds lead to the event of Aurelian deciding withdrawal from occupied part of Dacia or not, is a complete mistery. But in my opinion he wasn't a roman emperor, but he was somekind of a leader. It can also be the fact that he struck those coins after the Aurelian withdrawal (after 275 AD) and attempted to take control and maintain order over a chaotic free unoccupied Dacia (Transylvania part).

He was probably like king Charles of modern day. Not a very useful head of state with no influence.

It's saying it's not the absence of evidence but absence it's not mean it's not real or exist..

If I was going to forge a coin wouldn't it be more profitable to make one that people might think is an actual Roman Emperor? Why make one that is likely to be thrown away or melted?

I am new to the stock market. Every stock that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the stock opportunities so far for the tech stocks. I believe having 75K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the stock market. I know this sounds a bit dull but I would like to know if I should learn investing or let somebody else (more capable like a FA) do it for me? Please share your thoughts. I am kind of tired of searching for a good stock to buy and losing all the good opportunities

How could they not tell whether a gold coin was real or not? Go to your local coin shop, and they can figure it out in a heartbeat.

I think what could lead to factual evidence is information about coin making.
How easy was it to produce coins in terms of cost and production.

They had to mine the gold, mint the coins, use the coins, hide the coins, drop or lose the coins.
Who wouldn't love to see how they did everything and lived day to day?

Probably one of the Emperors during the third century crisis in which Emperor Aurelius had to re forge the Roman Empire. Much of Rome was fractured at this time and some Roman Generals stylized themselves as Emperor even in Dacia now Romania 🇷🇴 .

Success is dependent on the action or
steps you take to achieve it. Show me
a man who doesn't have an investment
and I will tell you how soon he'll go broke
Investment is building a safe haven for the
future: with the right choice of investment
that has at least 1% minimum risk and
with an Expert guidance, profit and interest
should be 💯 guaranteed.

It is so shameful of the BBC to overstate the strength of the evidence to support the hypothesis that this coin is real. Guy de la Bedoyere (of Time Team Fame, and former BBC) puts forth a much stronger argument against this conclusion.

Because a forgery can not circulate and be buried? Specially one made of gold, which has intrinsic value no matter the shape of it? All they might have proven is it was not a recent forgery, even that's iffy, even more so if it has been in storage for 200 years.
