Love this game. Could we perhaps have a remaster? A Civ iii 2 perhaps??
ОтветитьMy first Civ game, my dad introduced it to me when I was 6.
ОтветитьI liked the colony concept from Civ III
ОтветитьI still have my physical copy of Civ III (along side Civ II Test of Time) and they're still in good condition. They're retired games in my collection but they do hold good memories. Now Im in Civ VI on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch and its great. I still got memories of playing Civ II and Aristotle's Pupil (Alexander's theme) song playing in the background as I played.
ОтветитьCorruption was the game's biggest flaw. It was too much even under lesser governments. You could buy courthouses but under monarchy, that would get you like one extra uncorrupted shield, etc.
One thing about the introduction of civilization traits and special units was that you had a good idea who the biggest threat will be. Iroquois and Celts are almost always a major threat. Mongols, while aggressive, are so culturally weak they never prosper for long. England might do well for bit, but often collapses. Their unique unit comes to late to do them any favors. Rome ironically seemed to be so-so civilization most games.
It was also, maybe the last CIV game where players had a certain risk taking advantage over the AI. The AI wouldn't risk ending a sea unit on a tile where it might sink. A human player could and maybe reach lands that the ship's normal movement range couldn't make it to safely.
Call to Power 2 😍
Ответить3 is my all time favorite Civ. Was such an improvement over 2. I spent hundreds of hours on the huge earth map. The box was also so amazing with all the leaders on it.
ОтветитьThe soundtrack of this game is just one banger after another. The ancient era still has some of my favourite tracks from all of civ
Ответитьmy first and most favorite civ👍👍👍
ОтветитьThis is where I started. I got the game out of a book order at school 😂
ОтветитьMy first Civ game. Grabbed it out of the bargain bin at Best Buy when I was 10 😂
ОтветитьWhen you think about it, whilst the game had issues at launch, it was revolutionary for its time. It was the first game in the series to introduce borders, strategic resources and far more unique civilizations.
ОтветитьThis one is my favorite. By far is so many ways. If there was ever a remastered version of it, I would pay whatever it took.
ОтветитьVideos like this needs to be much longer! Would love a 10-20 min episode of each game discussing their mechanics and development
ОтветитьThe best
ОтветитьMy first turn is here. It never stops since.
ОтветитьBest civ
ОтветитьWhere is suede
ОтветитьWho else played on an iMac?
ОтветитьGood game... Kind of meh video...
Ответить5 days after last video. Civ 3 was released 5 years after civ 2.
ОтветитьMemories 🥰
ОтветитьRemember the Science Advisor with Sid's face? Remember when your units could walk on mountain tiles?
ОтветитьStill have it on disc, my favorite
Ответитьthis the game where I feel in loved with the human history
ОтветитьThe problem with this series of Civ history is that the videos are too short! Loving it!! ❤❤
ОтветитьI have owned Civ III when my brother had bought this game back in 2001 from a pirated copy. Being addicted with the Civ game for 26 years, I've waited enough for VII to be released.
ОтветитьThat’s so nostalgic. Civ III was my first introduction to the genre. It still has a special place in my heart
ОтветитьI still remember raging at this game after a fortified stone age spearman beat my attacking modern armor because it had a "dent" in its hp
ОтветитьNo mention of Golden ages? I am surprised.
ОтветитьAh back in the days of a fortified defense 2 spearman can destroy an elite 24 attack Modern Armour
Good times
Only Civ better than this is IV
ОтветитьLonger vids!!!
And please bring back the ability to put colonies on resources 🫡
I played from II to VI. To me, III is the best, the only that I still play.
ОтветитьHaving played all from1 to 6, civ III is by far my favorite. I gave civ4 a chance but returned back to Civ3Conqiests pretty soon (partially because my hardware was not good enough, but not only because of that). Eventually civ5 came with new concepts and I left civ3 with few games and plans unfinished.... until recently it showed up with 95% discount on Steam and I bought it for my daughter. Few hours of helping her to understand the concepts of gameplay... and I installed it back on my laptop with intention to play it again during my vacation :)
ОтветитьCiV III & CIV 4 are the best CiV than modern CIV...
ОтветитьThe best one so far, let's hope 7 can be the next.
ОтветитьBack when the AI attacked
ОтветитьBest in the series, sad to see it go downhill after IV
Ответитьlooking forward for VII
Ответить"Strategic resources unveiled" proceeds to show a luxury resource colony without a connecting road
ОтветитьOh yeah. I have built and developed the town, bulit some forces, it's grown up. Suddenly it all renegades to opponent. Thank you. Fuck this chapter. Only the first two and the fifth are quite useful for brains and soul, the others are timewasting
ОтветитьStill my favourite game. CIV3!
ОтветитьMy Civ. I played it end to endlessly for a year.
ОтветитьThere were more features introduced than this. This is all you highlighted?
ОтветитьThe only version of Civ I've never played.
ОтветитьOne of the toughest strategy titles I’ve ever played so I will always remember that time I won as Suleiman!
ОтветитьCan you still Play Civ 3 on a new Computer? Just by buying it from Steam?
ОтветитьPersonally, CIV2 is my favourite!
