How To Fix “Verification Required” Error in AppStore (iPhone)

Basically u have a pending purchase thats “owed “ is the reason yaw cant download things .

If anyone is watching this in 2023, The way I fixed it was by using Apple Cash to pay for my outstanding payment I’ll explain. Apple was trying to charge me $6.36 for a Photomath subscription that I tried canceling and then got verification problem, so instead of trying to pay it with a credit card or a cash app, if it’s not set up already add Apple Pay and even if it says you have no money on it, you can still pay with it as long as you have money on your original payment method (mine was a cash app card)

I just want to read an ebook on Apple Books bc none of the ,, free book websites “ work and its asking me to enter my CVV and expire date on the card and I did but it says incorrect even tho it is correct. It also doesn’t allow me to relate or add more payment methods? I even tried buying some of the free books available in Apple Books but it still wants a verification for that. And this video didn’t work. I tried so many but it just doesn’t work.

ok I fixed ths but when i deleted and try to download it again it does the same thing

I removed my family sharing and adults who were once on my family share cannot download apps. It keeps send me verification requests even when family sharing is disabled

For anyone who this method is not working, I finally found the way to do it. Go to your active subscriptions and just cancel all of them. Then you go back to the card and make sure the information is correct and then try downloading apps again.

To anyone that this video doesnt help with problem - you need to select your country again in Apple ID settings, it will automatically delete your payment method. It worked for me.

Even after though, it keeps popping up with the verification needed, it’s like it wants to charge me before I download. I’ve turned it off in my setting and it’s still showing the same thing

I’ve never used a payment method device on this account and I don’t have on hooked up and it’s still doing this for free apps why?

Ios also messed with my payment method, idk why this happening but each time i want to purchase anything in like gaminf credits, i couldn’t. It kept saying that i need to add more money something like that, but my amount is not even empty. Like wth, i am really getting frustrated with this. And now this issue in appstore, unbelievable!

Look i just solved this all u gotta do fr is add another card with enough money of your previous subscription because obviously this popped up because i didn’t pay for a late subscription resulting in them not continuing my availability to get apps or anything apple will take the money from the other card that has the money on it then once it goes through u should be able to add your default card back when the transaction goes through which it should usually be pending but overall everyone pay your subscription so u dont face this problem they wont tell you but i will i got upset just like u all but that’s mainly it 🤙🏾
