main problem I have with this game is that I have no clue what I should be aiming for when building a factory. I've just build a factory that produces 15 motors per minute. Why? Because I've seen someone else set this production target. I need to build a factory for computers next, but have no clue what I should set as a production target. Untill this point I made factories that just maximally exploited a selection of resource nodes to produce steel for example

"consider using mods"........................... say it what is, "consider using cheats"
Anyone who uses mods in this game is a cheater and needs to restart there entire game

Where do you find mods? I've not seen any on Nexus.

Cleanest factory: just an assembler. Power it with the HUB’s burners.
Build everything you can by hand.

I personally use wall power outlets which I place under the builders so that we don't see the cables

to expand on the power poles you can place wall outlet damn near inside the structure to remove the cable altogether

Not sure how your excessive OCD = rules. If you have to walk through your factories, you're doing it wrong. Use Hover. Compact is better IMHO.

I was thinking that my "spaghetti mess" is a bad thing, but now - no, I prefer my spaghetti mess. At least it goes with the landscape.

You can avoid power poles on the floor by putting the wall plugs along the ceiling, I may have been a little excessive with this after I discovered it.

Play video at 150% speed to have narrator sound like human being and not a newsreader.

This is obvious stuff, and as such not of much use.

But why would I have a clean looking factory with proper infrastructure like trains or drones when I can have miles and miles of tangled conveyor belts stretching out throughout the world like some lovecraftian metallic monster?

All your videos are super impressive. I've learned a hell of a lot on what to do and not to do. I'm stumped on how to upgrade "large" factories to the next tier, though. ATM, my factories are tier 3. Is the only way to upgrade to point, for example, with the tier 4 part at the tier 3 part? Thanks!

As soon as you showed off the conveyor lines, output/inputs on a lower/higher level, my brain starting firing. I know what my factories going forward will look like now!

Looking at your factory makes me want to make a new game. Everything I built are jumbled about together and I had to resort to jumping from platforms to ziplines just to make it in one place

I never knew you could place a foundation on a mining point and for the miner to still work...

I play with two others and we tried to rebuild our factory on a fresh new platform. We wanted it to be tidy and clean but it ended up as spaghetti as well but it's hidden underneath the platform... So the only thing that is on top of the platform is the big lift the hub and the mass storage for items 😂

Sorry late comment but i have a question if i want clean organized factory (which i rebuilt twice now still looks messy ) then i can just gather materials and rebuild it ??

Looks at these pristine factories and then looks back at mine The logistics/organization is most difficult aspect of this game to me, not the engineering. I should be teaming up with someone who compliments this.

I would do so many of these without someone suggesting it if only the game offered decent ways of building at massive scales instead of 1 by 1...

Any tips for making color cardridges without spending so much time picking flowers?

Also looking for more design ideas for mega bases, sandwhiched horizontal platforms with running bus systems in between floors.
How do you connect them vertically, how to build the large front side panels so they don't look so bland.
Where to put ramps for the explorer etc.

I only just started the game so my factory looks more clean and better developed the further out you go because I'm learning more as I play
