The Imperium of Man - endures for 10,000 years, wages constant battle against multiple comparably strong civilizations simultaneously.

The Empire - largely uncontested except for small rebellions. Basically exists in peacetime. Lasts for a few decades and then crumbles immediately when their grand space wizard loses a 1v2 wizard fight.

Absolutely no contest between the fanatical, practically immortal Imperium and the house of cards Empire whose greatest feat was imploding at ftl speed.

I was expecting it to be a contest of an astartes against the AT-AT machine, ending in him ripping off one of the walker's legs. Instead we got a Monty-Python style French Taunting. Not what I was expecting. Extra points for the taunting all being essentially true.

depends on range and cover. Open field, 200 feet away, that marine's getting vaporized. Battlefield of Hoth? He digs a snow tunnel or uses the trenches and MIGHT get noticed, but should be able to get close enough to get within effective range of the main gun, and disable the walker.

You successfully brought 40k down to the level of star wars and beat it with experience.

To be fair the Astartes don't need to wait for the Stormtroopers to come down because they are entirely capable of going to them instead. Good video.

Hyperdrives don't operate in real space, cause physics.
Hyperdrives work like warp drives except you follow predetermined safe routes and don't run into many issues while in hyperspace.

Imma be honest the Empire is usually interpreted as a massive, slow, incompetent force, but that’s cos they’re fighting several small guerrilla fighting components at all times.
Their mainline ship, admittedly, does diddly squat against a group of starfighters, but each can easily level a city within a day, and the Empire is primed to pump out siege weapons. Not even just classical things like the Death Star, there’s no need for that. A trio of ISD-IIs could slag a continent in short order, a Torpedo sphere could overwhelm a planetary shield within a few hours, and any of the countless other super weapon projects could smother planets without even having to get close to them.
Hell, Palpatine’s final envisioning of his Empire would’ve had a mainline ship twenty kilometres long, able to perform the equivalent of an Exterminatus all by its own.

The best part to me is the fact a single space marine would have good odds against a single AT-AT. The resistance had to fly metal wire around their legs, I reckon the space marine could bunch it's knees out.

A stagnant Imperium vs Logistical Superiority Empire COUGH Beaten by Rebel Scum COUGH

Of course the Empire would first throw the Imperial Army Regiment a rag tag army of conscripted Militia Troopers from planet's under the Empires rule pretty much if they where once scouted as Stormtroopers and failed the final exam they where just thrown in together alongside Conscripts of the Empire's Army the grunts of the bulk force. The stormtroopers hold highly valuable assets of the Empire's resource's ranging from Rare Minerals, Extremely important War strategy planet's, War Machine Factories and Slavery Planet's. While the Empires Imperial Army pretty much just holds whatever the Empire deems of slight importance like some back water planet or Guard outposts along with recently taken over planet's by Imperial force's and are the first on the forefront of war's battling attrition all the way.

The Imperial Army does 99% of the fighting but the Stormtroopers are the poster child of the Empire and are always seen throughout Star Wars Media on occasion you will see Imperial Army Troopers in some form or another.

The Imperial Army are outfitted with two armour types the Basic Military Trooper Uniform with Plasteel overlays for protection and a standard issue Trooper Helmet the second variant armour was a last gen old Stormtrooper Armour phased out by the Stormtrooper Corp painted Grey with a shine to it to distinguish it from it's Stormtrooper counterparts.
The Imperial Army is armed with a range of weaponry from it's standard the E-10, E-10.5 and E-11 Blaster Variants although these are used by more "Elite Imperial Army Soldiers" Imperial Troopers do use them as is the standard arms but would go with other Blaster variants if cut short these range from the SX-21 pump Action scatter Blaster excellent in war of Attrition when fighting in fox holes and trench warfare to the more in abundance DLT-19 Heavy Blaster Rifle which is highly used by all means from the criminal underbelly to the Rebels although considered inferior the DLT-19 to the E series blasters it can be highly modified with specs to the Imperial Trooper's needs.

Ironically, the AT-AT was actually designed to look intimidating and be overpowered, so....

Honestly that AT-AT could kill that space marine but that space marine could also kill that AT-AT if he could manage to not get blasted.

Let's see one empire has overpowered weaponry that would win a 10 to 1 odds at least against the other but is an empire that is inefficient beyond comprehension. The other empire has comparatively weak equipment but is so efficient its manufacturing capabilities are essentially limitless and also has extremely effective FTL to where a one man fighter can reasonable travel the galaxy and has instantaneous long range communications.
