Damn! Just when I thought I could trust this guy, he slips up! In presenting the Beamtech he refers back to the GTR Ultra 2 and states that the Ultra 2 has “OVER 800 LUX”! Thing is, when he was reviewing the GTR Ultra 2, he showed and stated it had, 737 LUX in low beam use, and in high beam use, 761 LUX! WTF!

And ALL of them are 6000k or more. Very blueish and strains the eyes. Won't be buying any more LEDs until they come out with a 5000Kelvin

right there in their faq it states for off road use only. None of this crap is FMSCA /DOT approved and you're the cause of us getting blinded on the highway.

you're obviously testing these in a projector housing. Why would anyone be using these conversion bulbs, or any 9005 bulbs, if they have projector housings? You should've done the test with them as the high beams only in halogen reflector housings

I guess I got lucky with my $8 led headlight bulbs. They actually are at least 3x brighter than the OEM halogens. Best $8 I ever spent

This test missed the obvious for comparison. It should have tested at least a couple of premium 9005 halogen bulbs.

So can these be installed as low and high beam lights? Or do I need separate bulbs..(I’m new to this y’all don’t judge me y’all lol😩)

sv4's in my 2009 tacoma 4.0 is amazing. All I can say. They are so good I don't need brights. Dims are enough. seriously.

I’ve seen LED upgrades not work on LX470 due to their DRL setup … apparently the DRLs run thru high beams dimmed … sounds like the Morimoto addresses that, no?

I'm going to put about 1500 watts in light bars, along with the brightest Hi/Lo beams I can plug into the sockets. Absolutely done with these (usually a jeep) people who refuse to dim their lights when signaled to politely.

I bought two beam Philips LEDs for my 2013 ford focus and when I installed them they worked for about a second and then shut off. I talked to a person at Philips he said I must have touched the led which I didn’t but when installing them they did hit the casing. But not on the chip part. Would you know what I did wrong

Is it just me, but it seems like all the bulbs with low output and poor quality are all from Amazon ? Seems like Amazon is a dumping ground for sub par and low quantity junk.

i actually own a set of gtr ultra led lamps. They are not the brightest but are very good. I ran through 4 different sets of Amazon led headlight lamps and was not impressed at all. These are quality lamps.

I just purchased some garbage l.e.d headlights with no fan they did they don't need a fan . The lights were horrible I took them out asap . I'll stick with H.I.D

What’s wrong with the Morimoto? Looks like the worst uniform pattern/spread of the test.

I bought MORIMOTO TWO STROKE 2.0 H11 low &9005 hi, back just over three years ago. The difference especially in my 2019 Colorado WT with reflector type headlights and as actually astounding! I kid you not! If anyone knows how bad the stock halogen headlight are in the Colorado, these LED’s literally turn dim headlights on a dark road into DAY up to 65’ in low when aimed properly and set accordingly to directions. As they were also the only ones with a mounting adjustment to be sure the led elements are face east-west side to side, to avoid blinding oncoming traffic! But it’s the high beams that really light up a dark highway further down that you can read the signs! In a straight dark local wide open 4 lane plus highway the high beams light up all four lanes and sides of the road to the tops of med hight trees out for at least a half mile!!! However pricey they are they are worth it. Only just the other day the drivers side has lost half its illumination, so I re-installed the halogen from original and that’s still not as bright on the road! Because of the price I’m wondering if there’s a warranty?

When it comes to beam pattern, doesn't the fixture make a difference? The pattern I get out of a 18 Subaru is going to be different than a 97 Astro.

Not a word about color rendering or color frequency? "Bright" is in the eye of the beholder & high frequency "temperature" (blue end of the spectrum) seems "bright" because it over stimulates the eye causing night blinding & poor depth of field. Always question the concept of quantity vs quality.
Please review longer wavelength LEDs that are better for seeing non-reflective "natural" objects.

I turn my headlights on bright whenever these cars with these too bright lights come toward me. What right do you have to blind me with your lights? Ya selfish pricks.

Just like a 18650 with 9000 or even 10000 mAh and knowing that the best are around 3500 some bleeding edge maybe a little more but under 4000 if you see one don't even think about buying one most are complete garbage sometimes a smaller cell hidden in a18650 size can most if tested the real capsity around only 1200 why waist your money even worse is when they claim crazy max continues discharge 30,40 even 50 amps with super cap first off if talking hi cap lg mj1 or Samsung or Panasonic 10amps continues with pulse 20 for use in pwm applications those batteries chemistry are cutting edge but have a lower thermal runaway temp point around 200c draw 40 amps or forget one in pocket with coins and keys even more risky if wrap is damaged . What happens you feel heat and attempt to get it out of your pocket but before you can a runaway happens now you are in burn unit I know someone this happened he knew better but thought his pocket was empty and that 3500 Samsung wrapped in another wrap claiming 30 or 40 cdr which he understood actual cdr of 10 for his MTL VAPE 15w to 25w that was good choice for his intended use . Most at that time did DL 40 or higher I discouraged those a regulated mod would not let you get into risky situations when serious voltage sag happens it protects you from danger but that customer used a battery case every single time after that he was in crutches and was embarrassed because he is a intelligent guy . 3500 I use in flashlights use a case and get a protected cells liionwholesale wraps different cells with their logo and tells what is under that wrap all are min un38 and able to get shipped worldwide instead of 25 dollars for same cell with fuse that can handle 8 amps for short pulses or 12.95 for same grade a bin cell with Japanese circuit and misfits 10 cdr 20 pulse new p35a that discharges at -40 c/f charge cell must be over freezing any lithium type

I've got a 02 GMC the headlights are absolute trash 😆 definitely need to upgrade to either the GTRs or the Morimotos both look way better than my current lights (or lack there of).

I had Sealights Xenower X1 H11 low and 9005s highs in a 2016 Colorado. They were super bright compared to OEM. I was so happy with color, output, and cutoff pattern. Like a true HID Xenon. The problem was on low beam I continually got flashed as if i was on Highs. To the point where I had incidents where someone swerve at me or pull off, get behind me and turn their highs on behind me. It got to a point where I HAD to swap the lows and ended up hearing Sealight had a recall on certain bulbs for too bright output. I will say they were very well made and still ran the 9005s for over 1yr before trading truck. My .02 anyway. I would buy again or lean toward the Morimotos after seeing this. thks

I own a 2018 Kia Sportage; my concern is the bulbs with a wire and ballast will not fit because of the dust cap that screws into place is solid plastic. If I wanted to purchase the Morimoto bulbs, there's no way that I can see of putting that cover back in place with that unit, am I to just leave that cap off? Is that the recommendation? Is there another solution? Thank you for this video, I found it very informational.

How is the 9005 a low beam? It only has 2 wires, at least all the vehicles I have only have 2 wires on the bulb (from 1999 suburban to 2018 Ford explorer) and it doesn't come on with low beam. All of the vehicles I own except the explorer use 9006 low beams.

Without seeing any review instinctively I thought that the bulbs with 4 or more leds around will mimic the best halogen bulbs.

What about Philips? Osram? It feels like you chose average products so that your Morimoto and GTR bulbs compared favorably. My Osram Nighbreaker LED are probably the best LED bulbs I've ever bought. May I suggest not being so obvious when advertising your own products?

You took all the shitty bulbs to compare against Sv4,GTR,Morimoto.
You forgot, Osram, Philips, Novsight, Hikari,Auxbeam . All these bulbs come with bright CSP chips with perfect light pattern.

Ummm really??? Your doing reviews on headlight bulbs and dont know what gloves are for??? Its to not touch bulb glass and get oil on them as back in the day it could possibly effect life of bulb or cause cracking, not as prevalent now but still good practice...
