As someone who went to skate America, I was so surprised Nathan didn’t win. But go Vincent!

Nathan has won competitions with Nemesis so it is not the music that is the cause but that he tried to attempt a difficult jump combo which he has not attempted ever since 2018 Olympics. On top of that, he also has a hip injury.

Just one point about the dresses: designers usually work together with the clients. They listen and fulfill their requests. My guess is that tudberitze (or however it’s spelled) is the one behind the horrible designs, and not the artist, so that’s why the same designer makes awesome dresses for other people, because those people either have taste or they let the designer go with their instinct without making any mayor changes.

So much pressure put on Nathan. I think this will help him release alot of the pressure.

Vincent deserved the win; that being said, I can’t explain how much I hate the short program music he was using. So cheesy. His FS was fantastic.

I've never been a fan of Nathan, but nothing hurts more than seeing someone not being able to preform at their best. Seeing his anguish and lack of confidence while skating was really hard to watch, because it doesn't matter if he wins or looses, just that he's believing in himself. Same goes for any skater, athlete or person.

Well the injury is confirmed, and it is quite a concerning one, a foot fracture. So I’d rather have her not landing that quad in the free than risking it so much

I feel bad for Nathan, I could see when he got on the ice that something had changed since we last saw him skate. :( I hope his team is taking care of him and that he can overcome whatever he might be going through.

Let's not forget that Daria is fifteen. Not every will (or should) be a Zagitova, winning the Olys at that age. She has time, and who knows? Maybe she'll be in the best shape of them all in a few years since she's not doing ultra-Cs.

Nathan was probably just stressful because he actually chose more difficult entries for jumps for the first time.

It’s sad that Kevin Aymoz was pressured by the French skating federation to enter this event, even when he and his coach both wanted him to WD due to injury and lack of preparation. The fact that he completed the program is astonishing- maybe not the best decision for his health, but probably what he thought his federation wanted to see. And for what it’s worth, he nailed the performance aspect, especially during the final step sequence, after he’d already suffered three painful falls. I hope he’s in a good spot to recover from this event, physically and mentally 💖

He skates to Nemesis in SP. Like why, Nathan why???

Young You absolutely should've gotten second (with less than half a point difference in the end) and I'm 50/50 on whether Kaori should've gotten bronze even. Daria only got 2 "!" when she should've gotten an "e" for every of her 3 3Lz. The same technical panel gave You a bunch of "q" and a "!" so we know they could see those mistakes, just decided to close their eyes when a Eteri girl is skating.

Still beside and cheer you up always boy, Nathan.

Amber was a missed moment for me. She should have attempted the 3A. She has nothing to lose so she should try it every chance she gets during international competitions. Her music is so drab all the time that only a ultra C element will save it. She basically needs it if she even wants a glimmer of hope to make the US Oly team. You Young should have received the silver. No doubt about it. The Eteri bonus points gave Daria the silver. The gossip in Russia is all a buzz with Shasha. Makes you wonder...... team T just invested money in new programs and costumes for Aliona.... we have not seen Anna perform clean and Sasha is injured..... Kamy also cannot get a consistent 3A..... who is their money on? One can only speculate....

Let’s be real here, if Usacheva wasn’t from Russia and didn’t have Eteri as her coach, she would not have been on the podium. Young You and Kaori had the skates of the night, it’s sad they weren’t properly rewarded for it.

Can we talk about Satako she was magical, she reminded me why I fell in love with figure skating and her pcs were just criminally low. Kaori was underscored, Daria was way overscored but what else is new

After watching Nathan struggle, I seriously want to see how is Yuzuru doing (especially when it comes down to the 4A) - does anyone know when he will come back to the world of living? Boy just vanishes into god knows where after every season and then pops back up one beautiful day.

Also, Shoma has THE BEST costumes from male skaters for this season (at least from those we have so far seen) - whoever designed them deserves a raise.

To me is mind-blowing that Nathan Chen placed second in the free program over Shoma Uno. He has the bonus of the judges. In the free and of course in the short Shoma was far better than Chen. They both did mistakes but Uno performed a beautiful program while Chen performance was uninspiring and bland. The same thing happened in ladies that Usacheva won the silver but she didn't even deserve to be at the podium.
