NVIDIA RTX Video Super Resolution Tested: Image Quality Comparison & Performance

I noticed this feature, turned it on, and now I'm watching this video with VSR on. I noticed the difference immediately so I'm gonna keep using it.

They should make it so you can turn it on/off per application

It is subtle, but I do feel the overall picture is slightly improved, the noise cleanup is the real prize.

I do not see any difference. Knowing how powerful AI is this is very disappointing.

The processing on the skin just ruins it for me. It's like everyone has a beauty filter on.

I got bad eyes and still got it right, left was VSR, and this was without pausing.

They should only focus on making text more readable. I watch videos in 360p but if I have to read text, it is too hard, so I switch to 720p

God can it work in Twitch streams.. they always look like ass
I could tell left was on.. but ONLY in the streaming guys face and the TXT in the space game at the end. The rest of the videos couldn't tell. I've been using this on my machine doing 720 to 1440.. and I really can't tell.. the only way I can really tell is the high GPU utilization and power usage.
Bottom line.. it's NOT worth the power it uses.

There is a down side for this feature it's the power consumption i have rtx 4090 with 4k monitor and the power draw jump from 150w for the system to 450w when vsr enabled , some of modren game run with lower that power LOL

okay so i just did a test . im watchinga video of afterburner 32x . and without vsr at 720p its blocking and blurry text especially . but with it at 4x its much cleaner

Ima be honest. I barely knew it was left untill i saw a sharper and cleaner image in some.

Watched this at 720p with it enabled at highest setting and it honestly looked as if the video was 1080p (somewhat)

Personally the VSR one looks smoother but NOT better.... I personally think it has a decent way to go to be worthwhile

VSR is an Nvidia garbage feature, it increases power consumption dramatically for tiny improvements. DON’T turn it on.

Litterally, the only difference is that there's less blur, but it's not even that noticeable

the difference is not massive, but it does look better. The Pixelart game had me thinking, but Twitch und Deadspace 2 were easy to tell it was on (as in it looks better) for me.

It looks like this function works literally like "enhance!" from 80s movies! Wow!

my gpu is really hot while using rtx super resolution, i dont think its worth it personally

i thought it was the right because slightly desaturated colors.

left side was noticeably different even with the compression, very sensitive eyes so the clarity was visible in details and text
