I'm glad to hear so much of this explained! I always got pieces that never made sense.

As someone who studies the Bible, I don't see how Eve in Genesis would've been inspired by Pandora, considering Genesis was written long before. As for interpretation, Ev and women have been interpreted as the doom of humanity without Pandora, and quite inaccurately, if we're looking at Genesis. I find it fascinating how we have one version of the Bible, many evolving versions of other religious stories and ideas, yet so many people, including scholars, think the Bible simply takes from other sources without evolving.

Anyway, great explanation! Thank you for the video.

Nah women are just inherently Evil, if it was a jar then she could see what was in it couldn't she! Women sabotage Men non-stop since the beginning of time! I'll be happy to never commit to no B! Ain't happening ladies! Keep your vaginas, we know you think it's gold but I can literally get the same effect from a freaking piece of buttered bread lol! Cost me a buck fifty! Remember that Guys, when she starts that Vagina hoarding just walk off towards the kitchen and she asks you wtf you doing, tell her I'm gonna go F a piece of bread, and don't even bluff, just do it right in front of her! Checkmate!

The way I understood this story, the jar was full of every evil. "Hope" was in that jar, therefore, hope was evil. The pain that comes from hoping for the best, only to experience the worst, is a soul-breaking pain. That's the kind of evil trick that could be expected from Zeus.

Reminds me of the veil that would be broken that has been keeping the evil spirits at bay.🦦🌊also they sound like nomes like wonder women Adam and all made from clay..
Also could it be the 42 months where man kind will experience the veil being broke, that the Lord speaks about we’re nothing will be hidden, and everything will be revealed , aka apocalypse, I feel as if this happened possibly around same time you made this video.

I say this because I had a dream a few years back where this enterprise took off into the sky and told everybody to stay inside their house and anybody that seen them they would try to kill them with these drones they had, but they couldn’t kill everyone they wanted somewhere protected. At any rate they started shooting down fake brimstone from the sky, pretending like God was mad at us, our father, and then this sky broke open and everybody was watching.
This happened after they gathered everybody into a large building, like a gymnasium, pretending like they was helping everyone.🙏🏽✨🙏🏽✨

The book of Enoch explains a lot of these Nephilim that go to the lake of fire, with all the fallen ones that decided to take up women upon their resurrection, and have children, but they created evil spirits, since they were created spirits in the first place, and not humans when they produce children, they produce evil spirits, so this is why they go to the lake of fire . Also, it says that the mothers that gave birth to them are turned into sirens, mermaids.

Pandora's box represents female virginity and the atrocities tied with sexual liberation.

Female Virginity: In some traditional societies, female virginity has been considered highly valued and associated with purity and innocence. In this interpretation, Pandora, as the first woman, represents the epitome of female virginity and virtue.

The Box as a Symbol: The box in the myth can be seen as a metaphorical representation of a woman's virginity. Just as Pandora was told not to open the box, women in certain societies have been expected to preserve their virginity until marriage, keeping it "closed" or "intact."

Evils and Atrocities: When Pandora opens the box, it releases all the evils and plagues into the world. One could argue that these "evils" symbolize the consequences associated with sexual liberation, such as sexually transmitted diseases, unwanted pregnancies, social stigma, or moral degradation.

Hope Remaining Inside: In the myth, hope remains trapped inside the box, representing the idea that sexual liberation may come at a cost, leaving women without the protection or benefits associated with preserving their virginity.

It seems logical that when the jar was opened human ills left the jar to plague humanity. If hope remained in the jar, and the jar was sealed, hope was not released into the world for humanity to receive. In other words, humanity's situation was hopeless. It would never cease, and never improve.

I think it's reasonable to say the Pandora myth influenced the Adam & Eve interpretation (interpretation, not story). Because reading the story Eve in the Bible-

-The Bible actually has a creation of woman story (many ancient myths do not)
-The Bible spends more time talking about the creation of woman over the creation of man
-The Bible clearly defines both the man and the woman as created in the Image of God before even telling the story of the first woman
-The Bible describes the woman as a "suitable helper" to man, which in the Hebrew language, might better translate to "suitable savior," making woman the savior to man
-The Bible puts the least blame on the woman for the Fall (notice how the man and the serpent get a "because you..." but the woman does not)
-The Bible, in the New Testament, always names Adam for introducing sin into the world, not Eve

I'd like to comment on the similarity between Pandora and Adam and Eve.
I'm not sure how some Christians interpreted it to be all Eve's fault because the scripture points to something different. Adam is created first, given dominion and told not to eat of the tree of good and evil. Then God fashions Eve from the man, for the man, and brings her to the man. She is a helper comparable to him. Adam is thrilled and he spits out the first poetry
"At long last! Bone of my bone, flesh of my fleshe, she shall be called woman for she was taken from man"
He's pretty happy.
Note, the Hebrew words for man and woman are similar, I think it's ish and isha. Can't remember, but yay for Google.
Naming things is something you do in your dominance of said thing, and you see that happening throughout the OT. So in naming her kind, Adam was establishing his headship and RESPONSIBILITY for his new wife. Further in the New testament, you'll see scripture in regards to a man's headship. He is to teach her about God, to wash her in the water of the word, to love her, not be harsh with her, and to love her as Christ loved His bride, the church, and gave Himself up to buy her pardon, reconciling her to God.
Christ is also called the second Adam by Paul, because He DID do what Adam should have done.
Back to Genesis, Satan comes creeping around, twists God's words like he tends to do, and says "Did God really say?" When Eve decided to take of the fruit, she also gave to her husband who was with her. He was with her. Right there with her, and he was completely cool with what was going on rather than wearing his big boy pants and telling her to stop. I used to give Adam the benifit of the doubt, thinking He was somewhere else and Eve went to him with the fruit. Nope. Reading the text, "and eve gave to her husband who was with her, and he ate." So Adam is a punk, just saying.
Jump back to the NT for a hot second, and it's mentioned that Eve was deceived but Adam sinned wilfully. That does matter. So in Romans Paul said by one MAN (not 2, not a man and a woman) sin entered the world and so death by sin, and death passed amoung all men (mankind) for all have sinned. He goes on to explain how righteousness by one shall reign by grace.
Back to Genisis, God comes down, asked what they did. This isn't because He didn't know, but it's giving them a chance to come clean and confess. They don't do that, they play the blame game. The relationship between man and God (this woman YOU gave to be with me) man and woman, and mankind and nature was broken. What Adam should have done after failing to prevent his wife's sin, refused to take a bite himself, and then offered his own life so that Eve's could be spared.
God curses the 3 of them and Eve's curse is to constantly question, reject, and attempt to overtake Adam's headship (your desire shall be for your husband *his authority*) and to be subject to Adam's tendency to be tyrannical in his headship.
Adam was cursed with working hard to survive, when working was originally to be enjoyed, as we are made in God's image, and He does stuff, now it kinda sucks, and Adam would be working to make ends meet with great toil. God gives them a promise though, and tells them that the seed of the woman would bear an offspring who would crush the head of the serpent. "You shall surely die" is both spiritual and litteral, and I THINK the actual translation is something like "You shall die while dying" or "while dying you shall die" . They were given immortal souls that now were dead, though their bodies weren't. Which is the big deal about being born again. Eternal life isn't living forever only, though, yes, it's also that. It's a quality of life., and an intimacy with God that you see had been shattered in their attempt to hide from Him.
You'll notice that a lot of "Christians" don't act like Christians. You can also see the change in the apostles after Pentecost. Also Paul. He used to persecute Christians. It's a lot more than believing things are true in the mind and aligning with an ideology. If it's a true conversion the entire life will change.
I think God did save their souls. (Adam and Eve ) Because their attempt to sew figleaves together (a perfect metaphore for putting faith in anything but God, hiding one's spiritual nakedness with something flimsy) God commited the first ever animal killing (the wages of sin is death. Something needs to die) and covers them with the skins. Fast forward to NT and you'll read that God is so holy He cannot look upon sin. It's heinous to Him, ( actually that's in the OT as well) but those who put their faith in Christ, the 2nd Person of the Godhead, are clothed by Christ's righteousness. They're NOT righteous in and of themselves, but God sees them as righteous as they press on to live a godly life full of loving neighbors as self.
I do know that some Christians have morphed what is supposed to be a depiction of God's selfless love for those who put their faith in Him into a "women are evil and belong under mans bootheel" thing. But I don't see how, scripture doesn't support it, and that view takes away from the amazing depth and beauty of the doctrines of marriage and proptiation.
Not a not a bible scholar, but I used to think I was a Christian until 2 yrs ago God changed my heart and gave me new life. So I look at everything I was taught since a child through a completely different lense.
I hated the story in Genesis when I was a false convert because I believed it was saying everything was women's fault. Turns out her husband failed her, humanity, and the earth big time .
I doubt anyone will read this, but it interests me when ppl make those comparisons and I wanted to share what I've learned.

Ok, you’re very informative, and you do indeed make mythology interesting. However these stories are just mere parables (short stories telling you right from wrong; mostly showing up in spiritual/religious texts and books). Even if the parable isn’t real, you still are just tip-toeing around the meaning behind the parable. In this parable (which is precisely like Eve and the fruit 🍎) the meaning is girls spark the evils that shouldn’t be into the world. If maybe the fall of man to blame it all on women, but I’d argue that if we would never have women it would never happen.

The one thing I thought but didn’t hear mentioned was that her “curiosity” was part of the personality gifts given to her. Intentionally creating a woman who is curious and then given something she is told not to open was a long game with the Gods. A backhanded “gift” that was purposefully doomed from the start.
