Travis how do you feel now that the fast ones will be on P3? Are you as stoked as me?

I have a question, did Travis Orbin create the drums in the "Periphery" album?

Well, actually, no, at least not the way I think of it. Meshuggah's bass pattern goes DADA da da DADA da da, and this is FRAP da da FRAP da da, the difference being that the pattern in bleed is written as two 16th and two 8th notes, and this is a flam and then two 8th notes, and a flam, in my mind, is less of an interval than two 16th notes :)

Why won't The Fast Ones be released?

I think I prefer this style (the overall song style, I mean) to new Periphery. Is that why The Fast Ones won't be released, because it's so different from the new style?

@gseeber1 The numbers correspond to the MIDI file, I believe. If you spend even 5 minutes looking at the transcriptions you can figure most of them out, although I'm almost positive he has a legend some where.

Do you read the transcriptions in numbers like that? Is there some kind of legend to explain what each is?

It's like he sets up his kit to best suit his style and maneuverability instead of just setting it up to look cool for the audience (which there is nothing wrong with that)

Travis. Your playing has a ridiculous amount of groove in it. I've seen most of your videos but theres some fills on this video that are really, really good. Amazing job.

I would love to see you part from the Periphery's "light" that you did! so much better than matt halperns. Even if you just have to transcription that would be awesome and i'd love to see it if you would like to give me a link :)
