Welcome back to Sasebo, Japan! This weeks video is going to be for anyone new to Sasebo or PCSing to Sasebo, Japan (CFAS) in the near future. As of right now (2021) if you are active duty and have dependents you will have to live on base if there is any available unit that you are eligible for open. I know it’s not the most ideal, but better to be realistic and know this information before getting over here and being surprised when you go into the housing office. Living on base really isn’t that bad and at the end of the day it’s what you make of it. You’re in Japan so make sure you’re getting off base and exploring as much as you can. There are SO many things to do in and about Sasebo so don’t let living on base be a hinderance to that.

Like you’ve heard a million times by now it gets very hot and humid in Sasebo so there are definitely some items I think you need if you are going to be living on base. These items are just going to make your life a little bit easier and your time here more comfortable.
