The Nintendo eShop stopped it’s support back in March. I see nobody mentioning that. Getting it modded is the only way to really enjoy it now. I enjoy mine again.

I got a 2DS in 2023 too and I agree with everything you said! I absolutely love it!! It's so much fun and brings me joy to have. The 3DS was my dream console/handheld for years so when I finally got one myself, it felt so worth it and I felt kind of complete! LOL. I'm so excited to enjoy various 3DS/DS games I've admired and awed on my 2DS!! Hope it lasts me for a good long time :D (and so far it has!)

I love my 2ds I bought mines in 2021 I rarely use unless I get bored. But I’m planning on getting new games for it soon.

Why do i always hear people saying 3ds are expensive? I found my 2ds with charger for 50 euros and my sister found a special edition pink and white 2ds in box for 80 euros.

Saw one at a local thrift shop (mkays) the other day for 90 bucks and had to get it even though I already have a new 3ds xl

Where’s the love for the 3DS?

Have one and it's honestly amazing. Very comfortable to hold and the slab form makes games with connecting scene screens (like top of the mountain is top screen while bottom of the mountain is bottom screen) look sleek. Only complaint would be the single soft speaker which can be easily fixed by wearing headphones. Custom themes look amazing on it.

I may have upgraded to a Nintendo Switch but I loved my old Nintendo 2DS with all my heart, it was my birthday in 2019, I upgraded from my 2018 New Nintendo 3DS XL to a Nintendo 2DS with New Super Mario Bros. 2 SD card in it and I got Super Mario 3D Land and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS

The problem with the sleep switch is that dirt always gets in it, so mine and my brother’s 2DS always turn off when not in sleep mode, and I have to completely power mine off because it keeps turning on in the middle of the night.

new 3ds has better hardware. Would recommend that instead.

i bought one on fb for $50 slapped a new sd in for ~8 buck brand spanking new 2ds and i fell in love with the grip of the device

I got mine bundled with OoT, and then basically never played it bc my brother gave me his old 3ds, and now I’m not able to get used to the controls bc there’s no second stick for camera and my switch player brain can’t cope

On EBay they are as low as $20

The 2ds is the most durable model by a large margin

i just purchased a couple . I wish I would have purchased them when they came out . I've been using my 2ds a lot more than my 3ds. absolutely love it.

If you're looking for a 3ds get a new 3ds so you get the improved performance and extra inputs and everything. I'm stuck with an O3DS and all the new homebrew and everything doesn't really work well

I personally dont like it as much as my new 3ds XL but only because its less powerful, I don't really mind the design either, it's just kinda whatever

As a child a 3ds was much more comfortable to hold and I found the 2DS to be quite uncomfortable. Just my opinion. :P.

If you have big hands then I do not recommend the 2ds because the corners start to dig into your hands and it makes your hands sweat

As someone who was a psp kid back in the day, looking back, the 3ds screen resolution just puts me off from even giving it a chance. Idk the games are for sure good, but with the prices sky rocketing, i cant seem to justify picking one up since i have no nostalgia for the ds lineup.
