I just bought a 2003 C320 with 65K miles for $2000. My oil change costs $7 (filter) and free motor oil from the county recycling center. Total cost of oil change: $7

If you were doing a rational review, you would not say hate all the time. HATER. Crackles and pops are not for you because they would make you crash. When the misfiring system would keep the rotation up you would not know what to do to slow down plus crackle would scare you. And you would die in a siriously bad overspeeding crash.

Lame BMW lover. How much are bmw parts. First you have to pay much more to buy same level car. And your all 2 and a half problems you have with this C. Hard shocks are needed in hard driving. And seats are not for laying down if more then two sitting, so put the front seat normally. We can all see how much you pushed it back in comparison with the driver seat which is usually pushed back more in cars. It's Lame how you try to bash C class with this 400. I have a convertible C300 and there is more then enough room for sitting and storage in trunk while roof is tucked in.

Assesing your complains you are more of an E class my friend, they drive as taxis everywhere so there are parts for them in abundance, very comfy, alot of place in the back and in the trunk, suspension are very soft and rides are extreamly comfy.

They are a luxury cars, but the longevity of the build isn't like old world Mercedes Benz cars. The are nice to drive and be in. Things like electronic parking brakes and the like make them unreliable though. Frankly there is enough room, but compared to US SUVs, well...

In terms of running costs, Mercedes Benz is in the business of selling maintanance. For example the engine bay isn't designed for the operator to easily maintain. There is very little colour coding of fill locations for fluids. Even the coolant expansion bottle is black on the top. Most of the engine bay is covered in plastic to deter people from looking and maintaning.

The cost of parts is irritating, especially compared to a Toyota. For example I purchased an MANN oil filter on special for $24 AUD (~16 USD). Most of the time they are $30+ AUD. Most filters at regular prices are $18-20 AUD. They aren't of extra quality compared to other brands, just priced more expensively.

The cars are designed for Europe and especially Germany. The roads aren't bumpy like in Detriot in the US. Things like brake rotors are sized large for repeated high speed braking performance, that leads to very large rims and tyres. So these costs add up fast. So even if you have the specialist tools and time to repair it yourself; it is an expensive car to keep running. But skip maintenance at your peril!

You are paying for a brand and luxury. Including interior materials like leather and high quality carpets. The carpets on my Subaru are junk compared to a C-Class Mercedes Benz. Then again, I like the repairability of my Subaru and year on year shared parts between models.

Sounds like a uninformed first time Benz owner that clearly didn't by it for the right reasons ask a real Benz owner especially one that knows what they are looking at and what that means exactly the newest models are not as convenient to work on the easy to moderate repairs and maintenance or hit me back I got a couple

Yeah, no. Don't believe any of this. These cars are great. Maintenance isn't bad at all if you don't take it to Mercedes. If you're tight on cash, buy a car for cheap off craigslist and fix it up. Don't be like this clown and buy a car, then complain about dealer's repair pricing. I hope this kids done some research and learned how to work on cars after making this. This video is flat out embarrassing.
