I'm still mad… but buy it anyway - RTX 3060 Review

I'm watching on a gtx 750

My build at the time was Asrock phantom gaming 4-two 2 Tb seagate HDD- Adata 1TB m.2- Gskill rip jaw 2x16gb(32gb ram)- 3060 ti evga xc-Zotac 3060 twin edge OC.

I have 5 3060ti now cant get enough of them. And one 3060 for Blender and what I can say is The 3060 is good at loading huge scenes quicker but getting detail and render blasting the 3060 ti kicked its butt. but having both at the same time was nice however I had some driver issues.

I still have a 1060 in 2023 😢

Ive tried to look up if 750w corsair psu goes well with a 3060 and can’t find much would anyone be able to help out?

3060 is gonna be around for years yet. Nvidia knew it too, hence the 12GB.

My NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (ASUS) in nvidea panel shows no option to set refresh rate,& in windows grafx settings it wont show over 60 refresh rate

i bought this card specifically to have 120 refresh rate

Was i ripped off by being told this card will get me the 120 i am after?

If not,where do i set it to 120?

My system specs are below

The PC store knew all my specs and still sold me this card telling me i would get the 120

My TV is an LG G3 and it def does 120,because on PS5 i was gaming in 4k at 120 today for hours

I hate mine, it wont run above 130hz without it blacking out screen. And yes, my monitor is 144hz. when i hook up my monitor to the motherboard video, it will run at 144hz

I bought a pre-built with a 1660s in 2019. The 1660s was a beast of a single fan GPU but it eventually started dying on me. I was limited in what i could get from my Power Supply Unit, as well as the size of my case (no 3-fan cards. Some dual fan cards were also too big). I got the 3060 to replace it quickly for $289. Its a solid improvement, i can game at 1440p ultra at above 60FPS, and it works fantastic with Blender, Adobe suite, Davinci, and my other art software.

This will tide me over fine for now. I plan to build my own PC from in the future, when prices on the next get cards come down some. This whole experience really made me realize, however, that Prebuilt PCs are often not very modular, because when something breaks or when you want to replace something, you often need to upgrade something else and spend even more money. So next time im definitely building my own PC

Upgrading to the 3060 definitely is worth it for me. It's replacing an RX 570 4GB GPU. I ordered the Ventus 3X version.

The 3060 is a scam, the 2070 runs at the same performance as the 3060, and the 2070 is cheaper then that, they just want more money

I hope you took that out of the box before you were throwing it about. Also from the future, it still performs just as good if not better than the 40 series. Plus GPU prices came down.

2 days ago I upgraded from a MX130 to the RTX 3060 12GB, needless to say this GPU has my uncoditional love from now on

After the RTX 3060 Laptop, I would go with ARM as to use less power.

Got myself an RTX 3060 Asus Dual O12G V2. Didn't get the Ti version as I thought my power supply wouldn't handle it and I would have to spend more than I could at the time. As prices got lower, today I'm deeply regretting not waiting one more month and getting the Ti version =(

I own that exact 3060 and I know that for some reason that card is programmed to be as close to 70c as possible. The fans won’t even come on until it reaches 70c and even at full load the fans still don’t spin at max speed and it sits at 70

Is the 3060 ti worth it though for the much lower vram? I usually use all 12 gb of that vram.
