The met know .come on Alaska strike a chord
Ответитьរឿង cambodiaបានទទួល
ОтветитьKing of universe is Claimbodia. U Know?
ОтветитьGo into any western museum and you will see countless stolen artifacts from around the world. They claim that they are protecting the artifacts from looters, when they were the ones paying the looters.
ОтветитьWhat a moving segment, it's also not a good look for the MET
ОтветитьI'm happy to see Combodians are trying to get their idels. They do not just Idols, they do represent their culture, heritage and beliefs of the people. And special thanks to everyone who is working to restore this invaluable cultural heritage. Love from India ❤❤❤.

ОтветитьArt lady is a liar. We see through you
Ответить🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьMy Family is Khmer, but I am disappointed because some people think that these Statues are like God and that they make them like Idols, and they rejoice in Objects that cannot see nor hear, and as the Bible has taught me surely they will become like their Idols, and truly I pity them, and I even wish my own Family would convert to Christianity as I have instead of wasting away striving after Wind, and laboring for perishing Gain. There is a Proverb in Khmer to trust the Steps of your Ancestors, but such is foolishness if your Parents are Fools themselves. I like Cambodia, but someday I wish for everybody to hear the Gospel of my Lord, and to love as our Lord meant it, and not by human Error. Leviticus 18:22, and even the New Testament Verse 1 Corinthians 6:9 states a sin which particularly is becoming more popular among people, and how I wish these people would realize their Sin for I could not disapprove of them, but by their Sins, and even so I am not a Judge in any way but am a Bond Servant, and wish for my Brethren not to rouse an Outcry for Destruction against themselves for surely they have sinned. Many people seem to be ignorant of daily Prayer, or either everyone is so loyal to God that I can't notice it, but prayer is supposed to be a routine and is necessary as we need to deepen our personal relationship with God in this Life, and that requires Prayer. Nobody but those whom the Son knows can enter the Kingdom.
ОтветитьI think in the context of what was acceptable then versus now, we all agree these items belong today with the Cambodian people. Given the political climate at the time we also have to ask if they were ever safe where they stood. If we look at how we’ve lost some priceless artifacts in the Middle East to Muslim extremist in some twisted way maybe these items were somehow preserved from the spoils of war that might have taken place in Cambodia by these collectors or museums. It’s still no real justification, and what took was still absolutely wrong. I guess my point is, the Cambodian government at the time was unable or not willing to protect these artifacts in a meaningful way, and could have been lost forever. Regardless the important thing now is their being returned to their rightful owners.
Ответить💜💜💜💜🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭😘😘
ОтветитьShe is looking at someone off camera. They need to get them on camera too
ОтветитьI just learned that when u see sculptures from around (Greek, Cambodia, Egyptian, etc)the world with missing parts is Not how the artist made them but by thieves damaging them by removing from their rightful locations.
ОтветитьThose Museums don't care if they are stolen, they will keep them because they are crooked and don't care how they got them.
ОтветитьToo bad Egypt hasn't done the same thing. Egyptian artifacts sitting all over the world and since the new museum has been built, all artifacts should go home.
ОтветитьSo many tears of joy in my eyes. What a happy moment for these treasures to go home.
Ответить😮
ОтветитьNothing new. The Europeans have been doing alot of looting for centuries.
ОтветитьThe Museums are the largest thefts and biggest liers.
ОтветитьIt’s crazy that the Thai people say that they are the original owners of Ankor Wat
ОтветитьNot stupid, not Khmer.😂😂😂
Ответить😂 I bet that when they give back EVERYTHING to everyone they will have nothing left 😂
ОтветитьWestern museums are a joke it's time they washed their hands
ОтветитьReturn the treasures ! Simple
ОтветитьWhy did the US even care to do all this work? 😮
ОтветитьWhy is there no anger and outrage in the comments?
Shame 😭
❤❤❤❤❤
Ответитьit was so rewarding experience watching it. As a Hindu, i can relate the sentiments of Cambodian people, these antiquities are worth more than of religious values. They should be where they endemically, ethnically belongs to. Thanks for this Upload🙏
ОтветитьI saw Many many and manly apart of status Angkor period had been displayed in national thai museum.
ОтветитьThank you so much from Cambodia
ОтветитьAnderson Cooper is a Vanderbilt. His family is one of the family’s that steal antiques also. Kind of funny having him do this episode.🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤣
ОтветитьI've always wanted to go to the Met before. But after seeing this, I think I'll pass. I think if there's a loud enough public uproar, like boycotting the museum, Met might finally give up all their stolen pieces.
ОтветитьHow can the met buy it if they are stolen... buying stolen goods is illegal. How did they not know that it was stolen antiques
ОтветитьEven the culture stolen by thailand
Khmer culture
You guys have no idea 😢. So much corruption going on to this day. It’s awful and we are going to lose our country.
ОтветитьCultures create art, musical genres, language, unique conventions. Colonists create nothing but destruction and theft.
ОтветитьThe museums should make casts, if possible, and return them to Cambodia. And the woman in Florida shoild return hers or face charges for posessing stolen antiquities. This is wrong !
ОтветитьI have zero doubt Latchford's soul is never a le to rest for this. I pray they are all recovered and sent back to their homeland and peoplle in my lifetime ❤🙏
ОтветитьGlad 60 minutes still has the integrity to cover stories like this. This is terrible !
ОтветитьVery sad
Hope they are returned their heritage. The museums must return these statues to Cambodia. Shame on the museums. They should also be charged with dealing in stolen foreign antiquities. Shame on them for this ! Surey illegal ??? It is infuriating.❤🙏
Anything the Met bought or received from Douglas should be returned. Anything in a museum that was never truthfully acquired by the country of origin should be returned.
Ответить🤔💵Anderson Copper probably knows ppl who have such artifacts like these in their homes.
ОтветитьIf the MET investigated, their museum would be completely empty lol
Ответить❤❤❤
Ответитьbuy a ticket to see all those stolen art items in the museum. what a joke. SHAME
