Because of Ajim, I am ashamed of Nigerian bloggers who are supposed to showcase Nigeria’s greatness to the world but instead they go to other countries to denigrate their beautiful country, make the people there happy and give them more reasons to label Nigeria as the most corrupt country and portray Nigeria as the poorest country in Africa. They will surely regret it for the rest of their lives……..Ajim God bless you, your attitude shows that you were well brought up by your parents and you are a well educated and well brought up person. One should be proud of his hometown, everyone should be proud of where he comes from….. Nigerians, if you want to compare any country with Nigeria, compare it with developed countries like China, India, Canada, USA, please stop comparing Ghana with Nigeria, please promote Ghana, talk good things about Ghana but never compare it with Nigeria in any blog, thank you…….Nigeria is great 👍

Ajim...It would be good idea if you do an interview to an accountant and explain the steps to create a company in Nigeria (the differents types of companies (if could be 1 person or must be 2 or more) ...the building where the company must be register the name, the documents, the web domain, how much is create it, the taxes to pay...so you can promotion to do that because is the correct way to work, even if you are 1 person.

@Ajim .....Thank you for this topic but it is even more deeper than that and I will explain some part of it to you... We also have what we called Indigenization Policy which is started during President Obasanjo Military regime of 1977 that Nigerian government can nationalize your company by putting it in the stock market and sell the shares to Nigerians for them to become shareholders and reduce your total stake of ownership as a foreigner in Nigeria so that to avoid the capital flight to your country which can be absolute or partial. Examples like the company you mentioned called Julius Berger Construction is from Germany but Nigerians have largest shares in that company because of our law....Like MTN too majority of it's shares is own by Nigerians. Again, if you are foreign company you are not allow to bring expatriate as a staff except in a very high field of science or engineering not even allow in the field of medicine, law , art, finance bcos large professionals produce by Nigerian institution and other accredited bodies. That was one of the reason Nigerian nearly ban CCECC construction company when they discovered that most of the Chinese workers from their country are prisoners in other to reduce their sentence.... Nigeria don't play in those areas of foreigners subjugation in our country bro... And there is a lot of evidence for all these . Thank you very much.

There MUST BE "Local content" in every buinesses done by foreign companies in Nigeria. Meaning, you can't establish without Nigeria and Nigerians ARE NOT part of it. ie Pizza Hut can advertise on TV long as the models are Nigerians. Branding of any product must also include Nigerian local content. Techno, Samsung, etc can run ads but the faces of models MUST be black faces. etc

@maxjaytv - 20.12.2024 16:27

I do not totally agree with you Ajim. The Nigerias local content law came about in 2010 , signed into law by the then president goodluck Jonathan because the people of the niger-Delta region protested against foreign companies -oil companies bring in expertriate from their own country to take certain high level and skilled positions in their company e.g shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil etc. so the government had to take a decisive step to stop the madness.
Secondly, there are also e-hailing companies that are owned by Nigerians such as Palmdrive, Fast drive and InDrive. Most of these companies only own part of the shares and not all. For instance, bolt and Uber only owned 60% of the shares of their company while Nigerians own 40%. Even shop right is owned by a Nigerian company by the name Ketron investment limited and the owner is Tayo Amosun.
Please, Ajim do your research properly.😂😂😂😂

THE AFRICAN ORIGIN OF MARTIAL ARTS
The African origins of martial arts offer a compelling narrative of ancient combat systems deeply intertwined with culture, spirituality, and history. African Martial Arts like all other martial arts has evolved from other styles of combat. Some styles are based on grappling while others involve striking with or without weapons. Some of these martial arts play an important part in society with organized competitive bouts that are watched by thousands. Many of the African martial arts were developed out of peoples need to protect themselves and their town or tribe. Today these martial arts are now practiced in organized competition or just for fun among friends.

Zulu stick fighting is one of the African martial arts exclusive to the men of a tribe originating from the Bantu people of southern Africa used in battle, self-defense, ceremonies and recreation. Musangwe is a bare knuckle style of Boxing that is practiced in South Africa by the Venda people for hundreds of years. Engolo is another of the African martial arts that developed in South Angola, near to the Cunene river. This martial art is thought to be an initiation for youngsters from tribes in the surrounding region. Many of the moves are reminiscent of the Brazilian art of Capoeira. Dambe, hailing from West Africa, particularly Nigeria, is a traditional form of boxing that incorporates strikes and grappling techniques. It is often performed as part of cultural festivals and celebrations. Besua is a wrestling style from Cameroon, central Africa which emerged in Cameronian ancient history as a battle between two men Ngominga & Malobe representing their villages over land disputes, a choice over taking up arms and causing bloodshed.

The 'Donga', or stick fight, is practised by Suri tribesmen in Ethiopia at the end of each harvest. It combines combat with ritual and sport and aims to get young men used to bloodshed - which leaders believe comes in handy if they clash with other tribes. Another martial art that is gaining popularity is laamb, or Senegalese wrestling, from West Africa which started as a recreational pastime for farmers and fishermen exchanging goods. Istunka is a Somalian fighting style that uses sticks today but was once popular for its use of armor and lethal weapons. Sudanese wrestling, or Nuba wrestling, takes place during farming festivals. Matches are traditionally a community event, passed down by champions. Tahtib (or Tahteeb) is an ancient Kemetic Martial Art practiced for more than 5000 years. There are murals and small ceramics with drawing of people practicing the art during the Fatimid Era (909–1171 A.D.). Several other engravings on archaeological sites show how it has been used as a tool of warfare for generations.

As messed up as the Nigerian government is one thing I can say about Nigeria they are not sellouts when it comes to Nigeria controlling it's wealth and resources, the one thing that will make Nigeria a great nation is if and when we are able to solve the problem of bad governance that will help Nigeria rise quickly because we are already manufacturing a lot of products including cars, once we are able to have good governance we will be like China, Germany and Japan all in one we already have very skilled people both inside and outside Nigeria that can help Nigeria to develop rapidly once we are able to solve the problem of bad governance and corruption and once we do that no country in Africa will be able to compete with Nigeria.

Ajim, how I wished you would have collected the unty Apathied Government song by late Sunny Okosun when you visited Benin city Edo State for the new generation of South Africa to know what Nigerian did to support the freedom fighters of black descendants from the white minority apart from financial contribution by working class citizens and business men and women, it's unfortunate the young West African were not well informed of what Nigerian did to support the libration of our black brothers and sisters South African. Some of us who contributed are very much alive we are not demanding for anything from them but unity, love and respect for one. another.
