ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 // In the Loop

Awesome, too bad I bought the first extreme ISO 8 months agod 😆 too soon to upgrade again!

Omg! That thunderbolt port is amazing for key and fill! But I need it for an event in June 😫

It would be really amazing if Blackmagic Design connected this control panel with their new AI tracking feature for cameras.

The feature could work like this:
At an event, I see the people on stage displayed in a control window. I select the person and the framing I want, and the system chooses the camera with the best perspective.

Another possible function could be action recognition. It's trained on talk shows and similar events and knows how to guide the camera accordingly.

I'm honestly super excited about what the next few years will bring. Blackmagic has made a strong leap forward in terms of sleek design, which I really like and find inspiring. Let’s hope Blackmagic Design continues to have the wisdom to develop amazing tools — not just cool gadgets, but real professional gear.

Would the thunderbolt key and fill work with H2R graphics?

Anyone else think it strange when watching the BMD stream announcing these updates that they did not use super source ?
Would have been so much easier to follow, and probably would have made it a lot shorter.

4k?

Look for plastic overlays for this so you can label the buttons for what you program them to be. Custom printed plastic overlays with customer defined text lables. Maybe a custom plastic overlay with a custom button macro pack for a specific need or application. Great aftermarket ideas for someone.

No Supersource?

The thunderbolt port is it for me it's the best addition to the G2. I will hold on for the SDI model

This ATEM mini Extreme ISO G2 is not worth the almost $2K. Those update do not add value to livestream productions

Good middle ground between ATEM Mini series and rackmounted Constellation with limited on panel control.

I hope BMD build 1 more like this with 4 SDI, 4 HDMI Input, and at least 2 SDI and HDMI AUX output as well

Do you know if the Supersource (or equivalent) will record as an ISO so it appears on the Resolve timeline? Also, do you think it will not freeze whilst recording to hard drive like the current one does occasionally? Thanks

To get one with 4 HDMI and 4 SDI instead of 8 HDMI will be very very good too

Still no on off switch - no 4k - no SDI / INPUTS HDMI 4X4 no NDI or browser support, the camera app should connect other than buying another device or using cloud to do so. No improvement on the screaming engine, u still must stream and record in the same format, adding xlr and 1/4 inch headphone jacks and other i/o is an improvement but no 4k yet no on off yet no better streaming yet no NDI or whatever technology they use yet cmon black magic gives us an internal upgrade instead of adding stuff that should have been on the device day 1

I cant see spendding $2000 on the new extreme when you can buy a 2me constellation for less.

The XLR inputs are the biggest fix, but there's still room for a seperate 8 channel Audio over HDMI device.

A raft if the Resolve with ATEM changes seem directly aimed at vMix customers.
