People who stick to manual testing will loose on programming skills.

In my experience in IT, there is no respect for people who can't code
(Dev and automation testers are always seen superior).
Especially in terms of salary manual testers are paid below par.

Some people thinks that Manual Testing is not necessary to have IT knowledge, but it's wrong. If you find out bug, before you create bug ticket, you're supposed to study the technical issue behind it, you need to have technical knowledge, IT knowledge for example HTML, CSS, Js, API Testing, DB query. DB structure, and you also need to care about software testing security also.

90% of qa jobs nowadays have as a must to have experience in either java, python or javascript plus selenium etc. Five years ago this was a 'nice to have'. So, if there is a demand for 10 let's say manual testers and you have 100 testers, the possibilities are less. So, if someone loses his job he is in a very difficult situation without coding experience. And, coding experience vs a course view is no compared to reality.
