As a Muslim who's neither Sunni nor Shia (or of any known denomination), I think that citing any of the "Hadiths" would be a disservice to an attempt at historical scholarship as well as in trying to get insight into contemporary Islamic theology (like when the notion of alleged abrogation in the Quran is brought up, but it supported through non-Quranic sources). The two Jewish tribes that were mentioned here as "exiled or executed" were actually expelled from the city. There's also no historical basis for believing that all of clan members of the Banu Qurayzah were executed. These erroneous retelling of stories is a very concerning trend throughout the presentation. They didn't just "plot, but didn't carry out"; they manned their fortress in an armed rebellion. Furthermore, I don't think that serious historians would call it the Byzantine Empire. After the dissolution/fall of the West Roman Empire, it was THE Roman empire; not the East Roman Empire, and certainly not Byzantine. Other than that, I feel as though there was a genuine effort made to be impartial, and make an introductory presentation of 600 years of Arab and Arab-influenced history (not "Islamic history").
