The Atlas Submarine 5 Years later - A New Leviathan Combat Sub is Finally Here! - Subnautica Modded

I genuinely hope i'm entirely proven wrong and just look like a fool when it comes to the potential theft of the Atlas Model from Tanguy. That would mean this mod has good roots but unfortunately the more i dig the more it looks someone did something very shady to make the Atlas happen. Regardless, The sub is massive in-game, larger than i expected and it's very clear now why the subnautica devs opted to use the Cyclops instead. The atlas will always only be a deep ocean / open ocean combat submarine with no further purpose or utility compared to the cyclops.

I think is stolen from the fact that is not the same inside of the sub is fake because you are surpose to the back and repair and go up and down there not surpose to be water inside the sub and drive like the cyclops

I was always really hoping it would be able to dock the cyclops the same way the cyclops docks the Sea Moth. Lol

It’s not stolen it’s just copie-claimed if I recall I was based of some real life vehicle & the size of the item executed game map manoeuvering so they stapled the design 🤷‍♂️

If Unknown Worlds makes another Subnautica game with multiplayer, imagine having this as your mobile base with all your friends doing different things, and you each have a seamoth docked!! and honestly those cargo doors look big enough to dock the cyclops which is just wild. So much potential if Unknown Worlds decides to make this themselves

I hope the actual atlas is in sub3 because I heard that it’s gonna be multiplayer, and that is a huge ship

Remember that the true name of the initial concept is the "Beluga" not the "Atlas"

You do realize the creators of Subnautica are working on Subnautica 3. There not much information about it yet. All I know is that it's in delvement. 🥰👍👍

I'm going to learn blender, and how to mod, just to bring this thing to life, fully functioning.

Basically, the mod developer actually paid a dude for a model, but the dude just stole the model from Olivera and sent the developer the stolen model. This caused most of the team to lose motivation and the mod is currently abandoned. Although I have heard from another review on this mod that the people that made the gargantuan leviathan might pick up the atlas submarine and add it to the gargantuan leviathan mod. Beware that is just a rumor. I got this information from another review video that claims this. Please pardon me if I am completely wrong.

I want to thank you so much for the years of entertainment and good memories. It’s already 2022 and I remember all the good times I spent watching you. I haven’t even play below zero yet I played the early access before they scrapped the original story. Can’t wait for what’s ahead.

The Atlas is NOT a military/combat sub. As much as the modders might want to turn it into one, it just isn't designed like one at all. No place for weapons and giant weak points on all the windows. It looks like a submersible superyacht, which is honestly fine as an endgame giant mobile base, but it's silly to shoehorn that design into a combat role.

If modders are going to add combat subs to take down leviathans, at least make them look the part with some serious firepower and durability.

Imagine this gigantic submarine but it HAS to be manned by multiple players. You have to have a navigation person, pilot, sonar operator, weapons operator and even an engineer team!! It'd be absolutely incredible

These mods should be baked into the progression system as an alternative path to the rocket. Instead of leaving, you may choose to stay and conquer the planet.

my friend and i have been working on a fully finished ion atlas and we aren't even 20% done

Who gives a damn if it was ripped? The original model creator wasn't doing anything with it other than showing it off on Sketchfab. At least the mod dev is using it in a way that gives us more content. I just hope the mod creator improves upon the initial concept because there's a lot of potential here.
