I am a Reyna main, and I can tell why people say she is useless, but that's definetly not the case, I think she is just the most understandable duelist in the game.

i would say play sage first to get an understanding, passive and support role and main a duelist
Playing control requires are a lot of understanding so control js the last thing a newbie should pick.

All the info you gave about the roles were perfect... But your recommendations were not that good... xD If you started valorant right now, play reyna or jett and learn how to shoot... After gold elo you can choose another role, but being an iniciator or duelist will help you on the general mechanics like positioning, aim, game sense and so.

I love play duelist but I'm hardstuck at plat 2 and it's impossible to climb cuz my team don't help me

Sage was my first picked agent and even after 3 years I think I still main her she just works for me like I can be selfish and use the walls for myself but I can heal my team and still be helpfull or I can be cringe and use my walls in stupid ways

It’s so hard to find out man. I’m an adapter. My aim is like mid Diamond level, my brain is top Ascendent. I adapt to the circumstances of the game. I’m a great anchor and lurker (I exploit given spaces very easily), I can Support decently and if my team is good at throwing utility I can entry cause I don’t have bad aim. My best half ever was a 29-3 defending Icebox (I’m not joking I swear) with Chamber. He got nerfed hard and since then I don’t really know what to use

Honestly i wanna main jet, not because of the hype but her abilities suit me honestly since I’m more of a aggressive/rusher kinda guy. She reminds me of Bangalore from apex which who i main since she has smoke and can get in and out of combat pretty fast

I like to play smokes or initiators because I will still have value because of my smokes/info gathered if I don't play too well

I'm also coming from R6 siege, what made you move Valorant? And what agents do you recommend for a Lesion/Ela player?

Ever since I started playing, I love initiators. I've mostly been maining Sova, but recently I've picked up Gekko. Sova's dart plays are so fun and satisfying when it works, and gekko plays as more of an aggressive initiator, but when needed, his wingman and flash are super good, and the moshpit lines ups are great for post, and thrash is one of the best ults in the game right now. He's great for new players and experience alike, although moshpit will take some time to master. Definetly recommend

Reyna is the most awkward champ, since she scales with player skill more than any other agent. Two team friendly flashes dont hurt, but having reyna ult is totally dependant on the aim of the reyna.

Me : likes pratically every duelist, likes agressive playstyle
Also me: waits for my initiator to help me out entry in the site.
My initiator: crickets ...
Me: Hey initiator can u help me entry site?
My initiator: crickets ...
30 seconds untill we lose the round
Me: Entries the site and dies without trade 'cause no team follow up..

Next round Me: plays more passive but whole team dies 'cause no one holding our backs
