Hades Boss Guides | Tips and Tricks

I was late to the Hades party, but loving the game. Thank you for your tips. I was getting to Hades in most runs, but had a hard time beating him. But, now I'm beating him in almost every run with most weapons!

Short boss review:
The Furies
(Megaera): free win, summoned enemies are a joke bc it's tartarus
(Alecto): last 1/4th of her health is pain
(Tisiphone): long range weapons will perish in the last 1/3rd of her health, which is exactly why you don't want to get the hazard bomb hammer in tartarus
Bone Hydra: easy fight, aoe damage is rewarded with killing more heads at once, don't be too agressive if you see the head going up
Heroes: it's purely up to you to decide who you kill first, i recommend you always should go for theseus with shield bypassing skills (rail special, trippy shot, charged shot hammer), you gotta be very evasive with the spear throw because 20 damage per hit, sometimes hits twice
Hades: you really gotta be dodging the best you can because his attacks hurt like hell, especially with the skull throw because yeah double damage from boiling blood effect it gives, dash into shockwaves, kill super annoying enemies (mainly the ones from elysium)
Hades (Phase 2): YOU HAVE TO DODGE THE LASERS, no cap it does 20 damage per tick (speed simillar to asphodel magma), also try to avoid the green jars because they do 30 damage and stun (damage boosted from heightened security modifier)


(Not mentioning extreme measures changes bc i never tried that)

Or, alternatively, you destroy everything with Aegis. Seriously, it's OP.

While fighting the Minotaur if you have ares’s dash attack you can keep damaging him while he chases you

the other furies are fucking terrifying, i've gotten a handle on them now but damn when they first showed up they really fucked me for a couple of runs

The bosses get more and more trival the more you face them.

I’m looking at this after beating extreme measures 2, his spin attack has always been a pain in my ass, and this was not helpful. Sadz

I don't know who needs to hear this now but if you are stuck in the bull and hawkeye fight, jiggle between the two big cakes that they have in the room. Those will block all the damage from hawkeye. Use spear's long range attack to hit the bull from behind the cake and when he approaches, move to the next one. Easiest and cheesiest way to kill them.

The first boss is way harder than the second

Lmao I noticed the different colored hydra heads immediately, but didn't pay enough attention to notice they acted differently

I got to elesyium's boss on my fourth attempt, is that good?

Just had my 1st try on him. Doesn't seem that hard compared to the 3rd boss at least. Admittedly I have 60% god mode on.... Got to about 50% after he goes back to full health.

Annoyingly both times I used my full god meter Call ability he instantly put his immunity shield up to summon his skeleton adds.... guess it was bad luck and not a mechanic.

I rock the spear and dash around the perimeter and apply a hit and run strategy for the Theseus fight. As soon as he throws his spear you can dash in and attack and then jet as his spear has a cooldown.

I beat his first phase my second time going against him ever and I thought that was it so I was relieved and put my controller down…… Little did I know 🥲

Idgaf what move hades has, I can EASILY get to him on nearly any heat and any weapon but his stupid 360 laser attack kills me almost every time

Wierdly i usuqlly kill theseus first bc asterius is super easy for me to solo and getting theseus done asap is always fun

Personally it took me 10-20 tried to beat Meg. First try Hydra. 1 try Heroes. 40 tried Hades. All good.

I couldn't kill Meg for a while then something clicked and I killed her and in the same run learned and killed the bone hydra, the heroes and hades with no problem

Bro I legit thought I killed Hades around my 30th attempt. Then he got out his belt and entered phase 2

Hades fight sucks big time. The second time I got there the coward started summoning all kinds of characters, specially those bastards you have to rekill three times for them to really die. Not in the mood to try again and again and again and... Better things to do than wasting my time in boring repetition

The heroes aren't hard but they are so exhausting. They take so much damage with any weapon you use.

This is my first game that I'm playing (new to gaming) and it's been difficult for me😂 after beating meg the first time and understanding patterns I've realized I can now beat her everytime but the Hydra ! Ugh, I did so well my first encounter with it and only have about 1/4 of his health left but then all the heads and the lava was what killed me 😭😭
I've just been dashing around and smashing buttons like an idiot since I'm still new to gaming but the game itself is so fun. I love how everytime you go through it's oddly the same yet completely different and hypos is such an ass with his sassy comments but I love it! Thanks for this guide, I'll definitely try your tips with the Hydra !

beat the heroes on second try, just obliterate the minotaur then wear down theseus’ health

I just purchased this on Switch and now completely hooked. Its been a lot of fun. I'm consistently making it to Hades but that 2nd phase is killing me. I'm not gonna watch the tips for this but maybe the previous tips will put me over the edge. Working on unlocking thins and getting duos now. Maybe one of the builds will put me over the edge.

We all know the hardest boss is the Satyr level in general

I actually enjoy the normal Hades fight but EM4 (and all of Styx) feels like just pure RNG with summons and urn placements.. Also half the time you can't even see the urns or explosions that are right next to you in the 3rd phase. It's not even his actual moveset that makes it hard..

I've also had the game crash several times and just randomly died full like 300 health.. It's like the skulls just hit 10 times if they hit you in a weird spot. Also the stupid ghost he can summon is impossible to hit with slower melee weapons. That thing is a nightmare with Arthur Sword and World Splitter builds.

for the heroes fight, at first i was super scared of both of them. then i realized something about asterius that i've noticed about video games in general with similar mechanics: dodge TOWARDS him. when asterius lunges or swings his axe, dodge towards him and you
A. always avoid his attacks and
B. always end up behind him

almost makes him trivial (that is until you fxxk up your timing)

also, fxxk hades for reviving

so did you forget that you can throw a spear at Theseus? thats how i beat him....keep your distance and throw your spear at him as much as you can. as soon as he starts to summon an attack from a god you can dash towards him and use your attack on his as well

I finished the game, but only thanks to god mode 😢 i figured ill just level up my weapon aspects and keepsakes, then ill turn it off and finish a run properly.

For some reason, I find Asterius harder. I literally always end up killing theseus on accident while focusing on Asterius. Bad aim, but its leveled up to the max.

Took me 7 tries to beat Meg, 1 time Hydra, 3 times the Champions, 12 times and still cannot beat Hades. On God mode now and still can't beat him. What is that purple thing you throw at him? Seen other videos throw the same. I feel like I'm missing an important weapon. How to you upgrade your weapons outside of boons? The game gives no explanations on this.

Lernie is my friend and the heros are a pain in the ass.

For the minataur just dodge his first attack then deal lots of damage from behind and for Theseus attack like a madman, runaway from his god powers and kill them both around the same time but minataur first. I beat it first try with these strats so if you are struggling try this

I have never met any Character as INFURIATING as Theseus. Asterius is just chill but I would make Theseus suffer if I could. Which is why I always try to kill Asterius first, sorry dear but your boyfriend is an a$$hole

Made it to Hades today. Will keep trying. At first I didn't care that much about it. But it gets addicting.
