Looks like a bargain at the price Wooly... Nice one.. 👍
ОтветитьGreat vid got one the same can't beat them for the price
On another subject do u never get any bother with ticks and that hows about a vid on that from your experienced
Cheers wol.
I love these bags and have owned them for a couple years now, I may have missed it but did you mention these come in two sizes? The biggest difference between the actual Carinthia Defense 4 and the British version is the Carinthia has a 1000mm waterhead where the British bag doesn't. To me that means better breathability and should be less condensation inside the bag.
ОтветитьI got the the two bags for £45 +£5 postage, just got the worst grade in stock from surplus stores, bit less loft im sure but barely any damage.
And for once I can actually say in confidence that for the price its nearly unbeatable.
Hey, love your channel, where did you buy this sleep system?:)
ОтветитьI think that the D4 has a better quality insulation .
ОтветитьU need ADHD medication and eng lessons!
ОтветитьHi bud what did you think of the defense 4 system , I opted for the u.s modular 4 system ? Although I havent tested it yet , great to see the British system , I believe u can now pre order this system with bivvy but don't quote me on that thanks for sharing your review keep em coming
ОтветитьHi Wooly....Im confused because all the other videos show the zipped bag on the inside of the medium weight bag ..You have your zipped bag on the outside which makes more sense to me.....Which way is correct please.....Great video as always ................
ОтветитьLooks brilliant and just what I’m looking for!
Thanks man.
Regards
Hi Wooly.
What size did you get,mate?
I got a size medium,and it seems a bit too ‘snug’. 5’8” 42”chest.
Regards
Danish SF Carinthia 2 bag system is the best set up Ive ever used .(Had a old buffalo that was amazing , but got robbed !) .BUT you really need to get good compression bags and straps to get the bulk down as they are NOT small ! But together with the right clothing work down to minus 20 no problem
ОтветитьIt looks very bulky & heavy, how heavy is it ? and how much space does it take up ? It might be cheap but Id like to know a lot more before buying.
ОтветитьWas this particular one manufactured by Fesca? In that case it's identical to the Dutch modular sleep system. There were a few Dutch units that were manufactured by Carinthia as well, but they are more sought after than the Fesca bags.
ОтветитьGot that set up and can't use it. It's way too warm for me. Had several nights out in my hammock over the winter and at best I can unzip the medium weight bag and drape it over me but have to have my arms and legs out 🤣🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьI just got mine as a bundle, including the goretex bivvy. The whole kit needed a little TLC, but nothing more than a gentle clean with a damp, slightly soapy cloth, a good airing, and the goretex bivvy needed the seams re-taped. But as a comparison my mate just spent £40 for a shite sleeping bag on amazon. I spent about three times that and I have a system that will keep me warm and dry down to -37c. That is a pretty good deal. Throw in a cheap tent, cheap foam mattress, and a couple of space blankets (taped together to form a large thermal bivvy), and you have a sleep system that will literally keep you alive AND comfortable in the coldest places on Earth. In fact it made me smirk that my sleep system outclasses me, as its effective in places that are far colder than I would feel competent visiting.
ОтветитьWooly do you still have a discount code as I’d like to buy this system.
ОтветитьThe mss sleep system from USA the light bag goes over the heavy one
ОтветитьDoes anyone know whst size is best for someone 6ft1
ОтветитьJust been handed one of these by my father in law... love it. Pure quality and will now be my new EDC bag.
Ответитьmy only comments would be the following. the lightweight bag would be comfortable down to +15c. the medium weight bag down to -5c.
using both the lightweight and medium weight down to -10c to - 15c realistically. both bags are good quality. must be both used with suitable insulated mattresses.
Got the complete system X2 but from different Ebayers. All brand new components and despite paying more than the quoted prices I'm extremely happy with it.
ОтветитьMilitary surplus now do this with a buggy bag in the deal for £80
ОтветитьHello, how good are the used Grad1 sleeping bags? Thanks
ОтветитьIt's gone down to 3 pieces now 😅 no stuff sac as they're struggling to get them
ОтветитьIs it worth buying wolly
ОтветитьAre there meant to be anchor points inside the lightweight summer bag to tie in the liner (which has tie straps to tie the liner in)? Doesn’t look like it in the video.
Cheers, great vids BTW!
