I've played quite a few modern games. Cool graphics and all, but till this day none of them give me the thrill of a good old ctf game in tribes.  Tribes gameplay was fantastic.

It is still a pretty straight game that I still play.

Eye Candy and the quest for it can really throw people off.  Despite the "old" graphics quality, the DNA of this game has not been duplicated nor surpassed.

Most skillful game ever made due to the great physics engine and the coding. Only two types of players - experts and cannon fodder - very little in between. What a game!

I still remember the 1st day I played it, I was on Scarabrae and i walked out onto the ledge and fuck me it was awesome sight.   I say it was the best game ever that I have played, with the most fun and teamplay to die for.

No other Tribes game after the first was nearly as great..

So many vanilla Tribals were amazed by the flag handoff...but their Renegades-mod playing counterparts were unenthused, The Renegades mod was very different, having dozens of new weapons and items, and the level of difficulty could get very high.

Does anyone play Tribes RPG anymore? I made a video of a server I jumped on and it has advanced since when I played years and years ago.

this game is literally the pinnacle of online fps. the greatest ever. set the bar, pc or console never the less pc tribes is still in my mind better than any console game ive ever played.. just pure fun to play, strategic and base raiding wad just awesome. gold ol days

The game still lives people! It's run by a collective of community master servers but it still lives! Most play Annihilation, but base is still popular as well

These guys have played, literally for years and only managed to put together a video of a few lucky shots. The entire reason they dont play better mods in the game is because they were chased out by better players and mostly me. Don't think these guys are Heroes or anything, they are rubbish. Not a single one of them will post a video of a full match because you would be bored out of your mind, watching them constantly die and get rekt. So they play for years and manage to crop together a crap video in a game they have so heavily moddified, it cant even really be called Tribes anymore. Might as well call it Happy.

It doesnt matter how old this game is. It doesnt matter how good someone is at CS:GO with bullshit no scope 360's. When you are skiing at 100 mph across the map and you instantly calculate the trajectory of your disk versus the enemy FC and you land a cross map kill in one shot. There is NOTHING better. That took skill. Those were the days!

Some of this shit was Aimbot - especially those weird looking laser shots with no zoom.. come on
