Vacuum Trucks. Both Air and Water Excavation without broken fiber lines.
ОтветитьI cannot fathom why someone would not want to be an engineer or in the trades! I'm an Electrical Engineer but am just as excited about Mechanical, Civil, and Industrial engineering and all of the trades that support engineers. Thank you, Grady, for bringing our cool stuff to the masses and thus encouraging more people to enter the engineering or trades professions.
ОтветитьThank you!!! I have this weird fascination with machines like backhoe, trains, trucks, excavator, planes, etc. So, thank you for satisfying my childhood kinks!
ОтветитьIt's like an episode of Mighty Machines for adults
Ответитьamazing video!exactly the information I always wanted to learn about
ОтветитьCan you review how realistic are Lego construction models? 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьYou forgot the machines that produces the asphalt.
ОтветитьI think the single biggest leap forward was the Cable Shovel. 🏗

Im a mechanic/yard hand at an excavation firm, I get to play with all these toys everyday and here I am on my night off watching a video about them.
ОтветитьWhen I was a kid I had a bunch of realistic tractor toys for the sand. I loved those things. So cool to see all of the different purposes of these impressive machines.
ОтветитьThis, but maritime
ОтветитьLog material handlers which I would say are very close to a excavator with a claw attachment and log stackers which are kind of like loaders with large tusks. Both are too specialized for the scope of this video, but i find them very cool from their size and ease to move large quantities of wood with ease.
Great video!
I grew up calling a rotor compactor a “steamroller.” No, I don’t think I would have seen one that was actually steam powered.
ОтветитьYou missed vibratory hammers for sheet piles
ОтветитьGreat video! Can you do the next list video on Survey and Inspection equipment like robotic total stations and nuke gauges?
ОтветитьYou left out the two most important machines on a road construction crew.
The water truck and the street sweeper.I can’t stand a dusty and dirty work site.
I haven't felt like a little kid like this since my grandma last cooked for me, thanks for this video.

ОтветитьThanks for making this video, very informative and educational. I am from Bangladesh and one major problem in my country and in the Indian Sub continent is the lack of good quality vocational education that specializes in trade skills and training like operating heavy machinery.
Every politician during campaigning promises a new university at his/her constituency, I am not saying universities are not important but the total disregard for industrial arts or trade skills development by building good quality technical institutes or community colleges as you called them in the states is a major impediment to development as not everyone is meant to or willing to go to university. I know many people if had given the opportunity would have preferred to do short training on heavy equipment operation and maintainance and go into a trade to take home a good wage to their families. Rather they are compelled to spend 4 years at some sub par level university and then be labelled an unemployed youth afterwards.
So, basically Grady read Builda Block to his kid and now we get the live action.
ОтветитьMy dad is a construction manager, I’m sure he’d love me namedropping these things when we drive by them lol
