Good .permanent solution
ОтветитьBad video: No personal protection used, sloppy covering of unpainted parts. Which basecoat needs 24h to dry?! And which clearcoat will hold after such long time?!
Ответить3_4 x Regen und die Pest kommt wieder durch..
Ответить..repeat every 6 months.
ОтветитьThis is such a helpful video and no "talky talky"...i hate the blabbing, you just get straight to it. ty
Ответитьso many scientists here. reminds me of the good old days of covid.
he went back to bare metal, then spayed it with primer. this, together with the other 7 odd layers he applied, stops the iron from being exposed to water & oxygen. oxidation takes years, not 30 minutes.
Bravo
ОтветитьNever saw anything like this
ОтветитьLooks great
ОтветитьWait. So after the clear, you let it sit 24h again then you sand and buff? Why do you let the base sit 24h and not use a heat gun to cure it?
ОтветитьWhat did you use on the side grinder to remove the rust, wire cup wheel?
ОтветитьYeah, you didn’t get rid of all the rest so it’s going to come back
ОтветитьReally good video. Show and tell, makes great content
ОтветитьU forgot to put what kind of sand paper u where using
ОтветитьCame out pretty banging. Nice
ОтветитьAwesome job
ОтветитьWow! Beautiful!
ОтветитьWhat grit sandpaper did you use to start with?
ОтветитьStep 5 sell car
ОтветитьLooks nice, but such a time consuming hassle having to buy and use a shit ton of products
ОтветитьMany cars didn't pass rust inspection in Danmark 😢😢...
They made also damages with the hammer with sharp size at the check-ins for inspections to make people to change cars or make new..
Should have show all of the products you use.
ОтветитьSuper helpful! Thanks! What level of grit sandpaper did you use at the very beginning?
ОтветитьThat is not how you use/apply spray paint 🤦
ОтветитьI really did my thing now,.. ready for the body shop😂
ОтветитьGreat video! I have a 08 jetta and not looking to get 5 more years out of it. A little rust on rocker panels, so just need a cheap fix. Are these all the Materials required? - Sandpaper $20, Rust inhibitor wd-40 $20, Primer $25, clear coat? Can of spray pant $30?
ОтветитьNot what I call easy !
ОтветитьThis rust will bubble up next month 😂
ОтветитьShould have started with etching primer btw.
ОтветитьDer hat ja mal überhaupt keine Ahnung..Mit nem heizluftföhn trocknen junge das bildet Bläschen wo sich neuer rost drunter bildet
ОтветитьThis is honestly how not to do it
ОтветитьDo you have links to the products you used?
ОтветитьWorst thing to do is in this vid and I will explain why. You cant completely remove the rust on microscopic level, once the rust starts there is no going back . When you cover the rust with a layer of primer or paint you get it packaged and it starts spreading inwards deeper into the metal and in a few months you will have even more rust on this spot. The best thing to do after sanding the rust is put the primer around it , not on it and put rust-proof oil on it. The oil will slow down the spread of the rust . The best thing to do is put a layer of primer before the rust starts when your car is brand new in order to prevent it from rusting (once a year)or put a layer of a silicone covering (that looks like asphalt) or after your annual rustproofing go on a black road or in some dusty construction side and speed up the car in order to get all the dust, sand and ash to get stuck to the layer of rustproof oil and to package the bottom of your car and isolate it better from moisture.
ОтветитьI'd just like to thank you for the video and the fact you did not blast out the viewers ears with utter rubbish music.
ОтветитьQ: Why use Primer Filler and not putty then standard primer surfacer?
Q: Why not prime over the spot putty? Is the spot putty base-coat safe?
It looked like the rust had holes going through the metal, so the moment to gets wet all your work is for not. The only way is to cut the rust out weld in new metal. If you don't, it's a waste of time and money.
ОтветитьThat'll rust through again in no time!
ОтветитьShit way to remove the rust it's not all gone it will come back within a year.
ОтветитьFord transit vans will die of rust no matter what you do it’s even in there advertising tRUST Ford I know I buried two rust in peace😅
ОтветитьI have not watched the presentation, but want to share that there are two types of products that I avoid at the stores:
1) The ones containing the word "cheap" in their name
2) Same thing for "easy" and "quick"
Good luck!
Very useful for every driver of a German car. 😅
ОтветитьGREAT JOB!
ОтветитьWire wheel into pits aswell
ОтветитьAnd on the other hand, it won't rust? Is there no need to process with an anti-corrosion agent? Why are you such stupid masters?
ОтветитьAnother bad video on how to treat rust ! 🤦🏻 no mechanical abrasion via wire wheel or flap wheel, no attempt to phosphate the surface before paint and no epoxy primer. I wish the inexperienced would stop posting videos like these 😖
ОтветитьIt race truck now
ОтветитьNice job! Thanks for sharing.
Protective gloves when putting on putty and P3 mask when spraying is recommended.
That way less chemicals will enter your body.
How long do you use the heating gun?
ОтветитьGood job buddy!!..
ОтветитьThis is useless. I stopped watching when it was clear that no rust neutraliser was going to be applied. It's not enough to just sand the surface rust off. There's still rust in the steel, you can even see it as dark patches against the freshly sanded steel. If this rust isn't neutralised it won't take long before it starts coming through the paintwork again and all that work was for nothing.
