These first missions in the mountain are the exact reason why I put the game down. I stopped after the second village shootout because the beginning horse rides and other parts were so boring that I just completely lost interest even after combat ramped up.

Pro tip... you can restart from checkpoint on the first mission. Just run away or let someone kill you. It's only missions that say do not consume health. Dead eye tonics are fine.

I have several "easy" missions that are glitched. Like tearing your old barn down. I saved my gameplay did it 3 seconds faster than it says yet still no gold.

I watched this video when it came out but only now am I doing the gold rush... so I wanted to remind myself I was not alone in my pain.

I guess you could say there's 104 days of summer mission and you have to do all the missions this is really the only way that I know how to sing this song to make it fit in like maybe getting a gold medal on all of them trying not to die or get hit they do do do or doing something weird maybe killing a deer with a clean kill or doing anything to do anything I couldn't find lyrics right there or maybe 5 horse that 6 minutes cuz we all know he likes to suffer

I like how even after he remembers dead-eye is a thing, he still doesnt use it to its full effectiveness lol. Somebody really should have told him that he can mark multiple targets in a single use of dead-eye and he doesnt just have to kill one person per use, probably would have saved him a lot of trouble xD

You wanna know really pain? How about being 97% to 100% completion but you have to do the WHOLE HAME over gain because you’re John now and you CANT GET THE FUCKING VAN HORN FISH

If you shot Downes before beating him, he already has taken a lot of damage. You only need to beat him a little bit in order to trigger the event.

As someone who burned myself through the hell of going through this exact same thing on PS4, I can personally relay a helpful bit of advice that 'might' make the process slightly less painful

It's better if you attempt these missions on a completely new, raw playthrough of the story, along with complete intimate knowledge of how they play out from the start. In addition, and I cannot stress this enough: SAVE THE GAME BEFORE ATTEMPTING A MISSION! I'm serious, he clearly doesn't show it here but attempting to 'restart' a mission especially if you're already so far into the game actually starts you off on the mission with pre-set stats, which actually works against you in the worst ways. The best, or rather 'worst', example came from the mission 'Blessed Are The Meek?' where you have to break Micah out of Strawberry Prison all the while maintaining accuracy, getting headshots, and killing all the lawmen when escaping! If you're going for this with pre-set stats you'll find that your health and your deadeye meter are far less than ideal of what you should be using to get gold for this mission! And this was just one example; there are so many others like this one that I raged at for little other reason than lack of adequate preparation beforehand!

Of all the achievements in your videos, this is probably the only one I got. I love this game so much I actually enjoyed going back through a lot of the story missions even if it resets Arthur to his standard outfit

Personally i don't care about achiements, but it is fun to watch your videos and the pain and agony you go through to get them!

I'm on my second try for this trophy after 4 years. If this takes ne o ly 33 hours, then I'm happy as I will ever be. But I guess I'll use double the time 😅😂

I have 1000 hours in this game and it's the only single player achievement I don't have. Mainly because I just didn't feel like grinding the missions over and over. I think the 100% completion is probably harder overall just because some of the bullshit they make you do. The gambler challenges (win 3 hands of blackjack hitting 3 times each is just torture) and finding that damn rio grande turkey can make you go insane lol. Not to mention tracking down exotic flowers across the entire map. At least in the missions it's clear what you have to do and where you do it.

Why not just save after the cut scenes or travel, so you can reload and skip those parts

As someone who not only got the 70 gold medals, but was actually bored and dumb enough to get EVERY single mission gold I can honestly say some of them were beyond difficult. Patience of a saint required for sure but glad I achieved something that many others aren’t as insane to try 😂

As if you threw away the 80% accuracy achievement on the first mission by practising cocking the gun and shooting the house 😭

This is trash, the way they've designed that system is damn annoying, I was literally looking this up as I was tryinna figure out why checkpoints aren't helping, but now I am completely disappointed, I have even tried to look for mods or something that fixes this shit but can't find anything.

The train robbery in chapter 1 took me so long to get gold. Since I'd always get hit at least once.

I just found your channel i only see a year of videos but you mention other things you have completed but are not up on the channel is there a second channel or do i have to go to your twitch to find vods of achievement runs older than 1 year?

I am going for this now. I am currently at 52 Gold Medals. Ive gotten about 40 of those in the last 24 hours. The best tips I can give are:

Avoid literally any challenge with a timer. There are 105 missions and you only need 70 gold for the achievement. That is exactly 2/3 of the missions. So skip ones that you dont like or think you cant do.

Definitely avoid challenges where you need to avoid damage.

The challenge that says to not use health items still lets you use snake oil and you can use as many as you want.

Use deadeye as often as possible for quick efficient kills.

Thank you for the break from gold medals, but I should get back to it.
