Freedom Call - Flame in the Night

When i went to High School i dated a girl who loved the power metal like me and our two favorite band was FC and Helloween. She loved so much FC. She had a very hard life, her family was poor and her father violent and she always said that the FC's music made her dream and feel happy and free. Until one day, at the age of 17, she decided to end it all.
For a while I couldn't listen to any FC songs because it reminded me of her, until a couple of years ago, and this was her favorite song.
Sorry for the history xD, but I wanted to express what this song means to me.

To me Freedom Call is deeply related to Dark Age of Camelot. Hearing this brings up memories of early teenage times, playing and devouring the best mmorpg ever made. <3

I disagree. I've listened to both Freedom Call and Dragonforce for 5 years straight. Neither has gotten old. Fast, energetic and epic music is what pumps me up and makes me feel good, so I don't think I'll ever get tired of power metal.

And Blind Guardian, who forgets Blind Guardian when listing power metal. And what about Dragonforce?

dragonforce gets old immediately. one song is nice every now and then. But it's way to simple. Freedom call also gets old pretty fast. But they have a nice variety of melody. One can always come back to this band, they surely are talanted. This song is epic btw, best one from FC according to me:)

I've actually been noticing that. A lot of songs seem to be the same or similar ideas but I still like them so.. *shrugs*

How could you forget Dragonforce?

No they're not. Speed metal is far less melodic. Dragonforce is definitely power metal. They just have blast beats instead of regular double bass drumming, so their songs are faster than ordinary power metal. That's why they call it Extreme Power Metal.

How could you leave out Blind Guardian?

dragonforce is not a powermetal band xd...They are more like a speed metal band
