Game of Thrones 8x2 • Jaime And Brienne Reunited Scene

I understand the irony and meaning why they choose that ending for Jamie in GoT. But I don't support it.
Look at how Tyrion I was talking about Cersei and all Jamie could hear was Brienne's voices nearby. THEY WASTED ALL THAT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT FOR THAT "MEANING"!? 🙄🙄🙄

how did dumb and dumber go from “id be honored to serve under your command” to him running back to cersei saying “i never cared for them.” i’ll never get over the assassination of jaime’s character.

I will never forget D&D for destroying my fav relationship in the show.

what a waste of 5 seasons of development and tension. just throw them at each other for 5 minutes and then destroy jaime’s ENTIRE character arc. At least if the fat bastard GRRM decides to write anything else he’ll fulfill this arc (jaime and brienne is modeled after beauty and the beast after all).

season 8 wasted the show.. I could tell why most of the cast hated it

We hated D+D for their writing, but we loved the characters until the end.

Man this dilaogue is bad

Two damaged souls who completed and healed each other. She refused to see him as all the others did (spoiled, rich, kingslayer) and as he presented himself (cynically). She saw the honest and honorable man he was deep inside. But it wasn't before his whole life was shattered that he was ready to open up. The bathing scene is like a baptism: the kingslayer dies and Jaime is born. She gave him self-respect and he acknowledged her as equal, as a knight and as a woman.

This show is good.

I must be insane cause the ship i actually saw in my mind was Brienne and The Hound, there devotion to the stark girls was matched only by lady stark. to me i never liked jamie, respected later seasons maybe but never liked. he should have rejected Cersei, letting her die forgotten and forsaken.

This showed gave us some of the most awesome character relationships ever...minus the part when you're shagging your sister or aunt but yeah, dam good job!

Alternate Universe: Jaime tells Tyrion he actually cares for the people in kingslanding. He goes back to kingslanding confronting Cersei one last time begging her to surrender. Cersei beheads Melisandre and starts the bloody war. Danny flies drogon across kings landing and ONLY burn the Lannister army and the Red keep.
Cersei planned it all to lure her enemies into kings landing and ignite wild fire to burn them all. Jaimie finds out and was shocked as he had to choose to save the people or let Cersei burn them all like how the Mad King tried to. Jaime drives his sword through Cersei ceasing the forthcoming destruction. Jon arrived witnessing what happened. But this time unlike Ned stark, he didn’t judge Jaime as he would’ve done the same if Danny burns the whole of kings landing. Etc.

I wish this scene had been foreshadowing for what Jamie would do: when the subject of Circe comes up, he gets bored and walks towards his real love.

He may have not been the fighter he used to be but he did a damn good job against the White Walkers.

I always wonder had he not have gotten his hand cut off would he have been this humbled🤔 prob not but I just so wish he could have loved brienne more then Cersei & maybe with more time he could have but idk

Jaime had seasons of development and a near-perfect character arc and they just threw it straight out the window.

This scene just stayed with me. It's one of favorites. It's special.

One of the very few things I liked about season 8 was, on the fight of the long night, Ned starks sword was finally reunited by Jaime and brienne fighting side by side

What is this scene, and Brienne, even on about?

Basically all of Jaime's scenes with her past his hand being cut off have been serious.

The dialogue is absolute garbage without GRRM to hold D&D's hands.

Maybe if there were more episodes or another season, I could have bitterly accepted Jaime's heel turn back to Cersei. But it's just so JARRING with quickly it happens in this forsaken season. I'm still annoyingly frustrated after all this time.

One week, he's willing to die for the living. Then that following week, he's merrily telling Tyrion he "never cared for the innocent". Ok Jaime, sure bro.

All the other couples of the show are on one side, and then this couple is on the other. Brienne X Jamie are dreamy ❤️❤️

I love that Tyrion is talking about Cersei when Jaime hears Brienne and just leaves his brother to his ramblings. :D

45 seconds into their reunion and she’s snapping at him, only to get sucker punched right in the feels when he pledges her his service. 💕

I can forgive D&D for a lot, but not for what they did to Jaime and DEFINITELY not for what they did to Brienne. They both (and all of us) deserved better.

Jamie always seems to be such a good human being when he’s away from his sister if these two don’t kiss by the end of the damn show I’m gonna be really pissed
