Follow the steps below to unrestrict someone on Messenger:
1. Open the Messenger app on your iPhone or Android phone.
2. Select the menu button in the top left of the Messenger app.
3. Once the menu opens, select the gear for the settings.
4. In the Messenger settings find and select Privacy & Safety.
5. Scroll down and select Restricted Accounts.
6. Find and select the account you want to unrestrict.
7. Select Unrestrict.
