I feel like I can leave some advice as someone who was in your situation about 3 years ago.

1)Don't drop out of uni. Even if your plans fall apart and you don't get a job in your degree stay in uni. You will miss it, it's really the end of youth. There's no setting like it again it's your last chance to make friends and live without worrying about work.

2)don't move back home, I failed to move out after uni and had to move back home. I should have been preparing to move out in the first year but I was stupid and left it to third year. Needless to say I ended up back home and now I'm gonna be stuck here for a while. Embarrassing.

3)Learn to drive, I left it to after uni. It's terrible mistake nobody should be relying on public transport after 21 it's just embarrassing and depressing and the current state of the driving agency has ludicrous wait times so learn sooner rather than later.

That dude may be a boomer, but he's right lol. You just need to assert your space a bit and not let them touch your stuff even if it makes a scene. It's the conflict avoidance that gets you in the long run. And if they make you feel bad, don't you kind of already? Lol. Sorry but like there's nothing to lose if you look at it objectively.
