Video is informative, but microphone quality is pretty bad - too loud and noisy.

1) Question: so can we say that staging is just like a buffer?
2) Question: If pushing of data is happening directly to DW and at sudden there is some failure, The data which is loaded will remain there or not? As if the loaded data will be there, then finding what part is not loaded will cost lot of time. And if it doesn’t then does staging keeps the record what has been loaded and what just needed to be loaded. Only the remaining part will be loaded. If this also not happens then what will be the benefit of staging. It would be like knocking the data source again. is it just because of performance we are doing this?

Do we need incremental load to load data from OLTP to Staging Tables ?
If yes then want strategy to use ?
If no then is truncate and load feasible for tables that contain transactional data ( large data )

Thank you in advance !

you said the ETL operation can fail when pushing data directly from source to destination and you will disturb the source again, but the same can happen when you are pushing data to staging area! so how is the staging beneficial?
