My phy book, which is straight up supplied from the government, has a text saying " make sure to watch additional content on this topic from outsources!" Thats the first time they ever did this.

if im understanding this correctly the voltage on c1 is 50 which adds up with voltage on c3 and c4 to 100v but we are not adding in the voltage on c2(it would then be 125V) because its parallel to c3 and voltage of capacitors in parallel is the same.

Well done. I agree with the comments below that simple is better. Unfortunately I've found that, in my many years on this rock, most college teachers are more concerned with attempting to make themselves look and sound smarter than they really are. Unfortunate really..., but technical understanding doesn't seem to break down, and across, their human ego. Actually, unfortunate is not strong enough...lets go with pathetic. Regardless, your presentation is first rate teaching!

Why are you using the letter U for U=1/2 cv²? Isn't that the letter for voltage? This is confusing me.

May I ask, if the units of your capacitors have nanofarads and microfarads, are you going to convert it? Then how?
