Life is not absurd and there can be certain reasons how your life should be. This is easily observed and inferred from watching the birds and squirrels and trees and plants go about doing bird, squirrel, tree, plant things in your back yard all the time each and every day...
ОтветитьThank you for this!❤
ОтветитьShakespeare said it before Camus: To be or not to be ... the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune ... Life is a tale told by an idiot, signifying nothing. Before Shakespeare the Ancient Greeks had something to say too.
ОтветитьTrying to find meaning in life is like trying to find the last digit of pi
ОтветитьIf life is absurd, then it it not possible to live it in an organized, systematic, purpose directed manner. To prescribe a way to live life in a universe you proclaim to be absurd is a violation of your basic functional premise.
ОтветитьHe was on the right track- he could see answering existential questions with manmade beliefs wasn't right. Wish he had got there and found the divine revelation sent to humanity.
ОтветитьHold the motherfuckin fort
ОтветитьI appreciate his contribution to the art of knife fighting.
ОтветитьCamus was a mad man.
ОтветитьCamus is what happens when you think just a littke more about it than Kierkegaard… Kierkegaard’s conclusion is “ah screw it! Just close your eyes and get on with it!” Camus’s conclusion is: “Ah screw it! Just OPEN your eyes and get on with it!”
Camus gives you hope to actually find something real and worthwhile even if you might never. Kierkegaard gives you a way to survive, but not live for real. IMO.
I can agree with some of it.
ОтветитьI attained peace once i found out in a documentary that out planet has experienced five previous mass extinction events, the last one occurring 65.5 million years ago.
It is a natural process so why take it seriously
Actually the Universe may be withou meaning, or beyond what we can apprehended just now as stated in the video. But it does not mean that human life can`t have a meaning. You can find your own meaning, be it with your relatives, community, or playing a role where you bring more expansion and growth for our species and beyond.
ОтветитьBe free from desire

ОтветитьKeep pushing your boulder!
ОтветитьBasically hes saying we live in a simulation
ОтветитьYSK!
Chromecast is FORBIDDING us from watching your show on the big screen. Fine on the cell but we we both my wife and I on different cells, it says it contains info on suic ide and and asked for a yes permission button on the vkoddy tv but they also removed the remote built in the app😅😂🤔😬
Pretty psychotic surreptitious casual actions being done now. I got babbled on FB just today for some basic satire stuff I've posted way worse before.
FYI.
You're being sensored.
Cathloics: God has a plan
Camus: PARRY THIS CASUALS
But is Sisyphus really happy! 🥹
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьThis video is plagiarised from some articles, word for word.
Mainly from “Philosophical Suicide” by Sarrthi S.
Also containing “Do I dare disturb the universe?” by Mekhela Ahuja.
May be more, both of these examples are on Medium.
Do your own fucking research and don’t lift others’ words uncredited.
Thanks!
Ответитьmuch to think about
ОтветитьThis guy said everything that is in my head
ОтветитьWhat’s funny is that a bunch of people ‘follow’ this line of thought like they would a religion, proving Camus’s idea. If you’re an ‘absurdist’, you’re just as foolish as a Christian, Jew, Muslim, etc.
ОтветитьWhat a phenomenal free thinker and a philosopher 😮
ОтветитьWho was the Buddhist monk that walked around for a while with a dead dog tied to his waist
ОтветитьBruh you completely misinterpreted him
ОтветитьWhen we start to think about the meaning of live,we just find that life is meaningful. And there should be no certain meaning to live. When you really realize it,you'll feel free.
Ответитьnice video
ОтветитьThe fact of someone flagging this video as potentially dangerous explains perfectly the stupidity of our age.
ОтветитьI really liked this video.
ОтветитьI'm not convinced by the idea of life not having a meaning. It just doesn't fit somewhere and feels like the lazy option... "Oh we couldn't find the meaning of life? There must be no meaning to life at all..."
ОтветитьTwo legged crumb snatchers are just interns yearning to be Dearestly Dear Leaderisjh
ОтветитьSpeachless! One of my favourite videos! it was like somebody put together all my unexpressed thoughts and questions in a dense and right order.I will definitely read Camus.
ОтветитьThe search for happiness is absurd. For that which is all about us is not available to those that desperately seek it. Happiness is quantized and momentary.... not as Camus has said.... absurd.
ОтветитьThe more we understand the Universe the more pointless it seems. In this there is the very meaning of existence and the wonder of death.
ОтветитьThat final phrase : “is there anything more rebellious in than actually feel joy in what’s supposed to be our punishment?”
I really like Camus POV. Fighting the Absurd… Just trying to live the moment, not worrying tomorrow one will have to do the same thing or something else. Certainly not easy
What is the point of spread good to the world if the evil will always win?
The good will suffer, and he'll see the bad winning...
A vida não tem sentido, de um a ela
ОтветитьI cant explain how much i needed this video. Thank you
ОтветитьAnyone know the outro song?
ОтветитьWork will set you free.
ОтветитьLife is absurd.
We cannot know if the universe has a meaning.
And if it does, we cannot know it.
Faced with this awareness, we can only decide whether to accept the absurdity of everything or not.
In the second option, there are two possibilities:
physical suicide, caused by succumbing to the absurdity, which is stronger than we can accept, or philosophical and mental suicide, where we simply stop being rational and, to endure the meaninglessness of life, we embrace a system created by humans that can answer all the questions that may arise, be it a culture, a belief, a religion, an ideology; we take a leap of faith, like Kierkegaard, and live our entire lives denying the absence of meaning, instead believing in some man-made beliefs.
As Camus says, it's not necessary to succumb to absurdity.
The fact that we don't know the meaning of our lives, that we don't have certainty that there is one, allows us to truly live it as we want.
Knowing that nothing makes sense allows us to spontaneously appreciate and feel anything without having to seek beauty and happiness even in something self-imposed. Indeed, while it's normal to set goals, we shouldn't make our happiness dependent on them: Sisyphus will never be happy if he bases his happiness on getting the boulder to the top of the hill.
You change, and similarly, people and the world around you change; however, if you don't attach yourself to an idea of past happiness, to something you consider indispensable for happiness, like the dream of a perfect marriage or a well-paying job, you will be able to live in any situation. We must refuse to place our happiness in hope for the future or nostalgia for the past but simply enjoy and have a clear experience of the present; after all, if life has no meaning, what can you do except live it? By "live it," I mean experiencing sensations, whatever they may be, breathing and seeing a landscape, stressing about studies, being sad about a love disappointment, being happy about someone else's success.
That’s a synthesis of what I learned from the video and what I always thought
What do you think about it?
I never knew of anything about Camus before coming across this video and I’m surprised at how much of what he said I had already come to the conclusion of.
ОтветитьLife is meaningfully worthless
ОтветитьI hear what he’s saying and I agree his view can be a good way of not being controlled with life’s curve balls and even unthinkable tragedy but saying that everything is completely random is saying we aren’t the creators of our reality and yet we are
We create life’s “randomness” out of our internal conflicts
We are eternal beings
Hear the song of your soul and let it guide you
There’s a lot of moving parts and I believe we shouldn’t take life so seriously .. it is not random
We the people as a civilization are waking up & we have the power to come together and create the change we’ve all been dying for
