wow this was the exact thing I needed to get started with making some basses
ОтветитьThis is genius. THANK YOU!!!!!! 🙏🙏
ОтветитьThx, helped a lot 🙏🙏
ОтветитьThis video is legendary. Thanks a bunch man for making it simple and easy to follow!
ОтветитьThank you!
Sadly, these sounds first 2 sounds keep bouncing from one side to the other each time you hit the keys...
There should be a way to avoid that...
But those sounds are really cool...
...having in mind that 120Hz to 20Hz should be mono... Right?

Ответитьwhat is the reasoning behind putting 2 lfo envelopes on the fm knob with the same shape and rate?
ОтветитьThank you for incrementally playing the sound while you make it jfc
Ответитьthis should have a million views
ОтветитьGreat sounds! Thank you
Ответитьin the square bass part, what is the purpose of using compressor ?
ОтветитьIt "works" but it seems to me this workflow is a littlebit let's say... Pointlessly convoluted, for most of the sounds you're showing here, and also that you could make better use of the features Vital offers;
First, if you need a 4 ratio FM operator, there's little point in using an harmonic series table setting it to 4 sines and dropping it 2 octaves, when the other osc is already 2 octaves down, a sine 2 octave above it would be exactly the same thing. Second, there's absolutely no point in using multiple modulators for making an envelope, if you need a complex shape for it, one LFO in envelope mode, should be more than enough. And third, but very importantly, if it clicks it is because you didn't zero the phase randomization, which when making most FM patches with quick transitions is kinda critical.
For some of the other sounds there's the unison issue... That would inherently "dilute" the low frequency energy and consistency of the transients for your bass, which is obviously not a great idea. Also, if you don't bother with the stereo opening, all those unison basses will end up being stereo down to the fundamental, which I suppose you will agree is definitely not optimal.
Why not using the various unison modes, such as for your second sound center-24? Why not thinking about using the table spread to achieve more from one single oscillator?
Again, I agree this stuff you show here works, as there are countless ways to get to the same more or less effective sounds, I just argue this is very far from an optimal way of doing that.
Wow, gorgeous pack Sam, you're a STAR
ОтветитьThank You!!!!
ОтветитьThis is an award winning plugin , Thanks for the usefull tutorial.
ОтветитьThank you for this! The first bass was exactly what I needed but I could never get it sounding that good.
Ответитьthank you so much
ОтветитьDUDE I WAS SEARCHING EVERYWHERE FOR THAT GROWL I fw you fam, lets make some tracks!
ОтветитьAs soon as I drag Env 2 to FM Osc 2 it distorts into a horrible noise, all the previous steps worked fine up until then. Any ideas why it sounds so different to yours on that step?
ОтветитьAlways needed this.
Ответить♥️ It
