ОтветитьA Freightshaker and a Ford Exploder living up to their names...
ОтветитьPeople who complain about an LCD iphone being not OLED never had a TV like this.
ОтветитьLove this
ОтветитьI realize this video is now 10 months old but.. I came across a 'color tv buyers guide' from jan 1966. they mention the newer Rare Earth Phosphors. They make it sound like the big deal is more about brighter pictures and more realistic colors especially in the red spectrum. Marketing gimmick perhaps but aren't the Hi-Lite tubes from RCA a better CRT than the previous generation?
"...21 inch sets will still be the biggest seller, at least for the rest of this year. This size hasn't been bypassed in the year's most important color development. a new Rare-earth Phosphor (if you're really interested, it's a europium-activated yttrium vanadate) Delivers far brighter pictures in both color and black and white, and gives a truer rendition of red, which heretofore has been TV's weakest color."
Great tv!
ОтветитьThis color tv set has a system called Greenvision. XD
ОтветитьI would love to get that big black transformer out that TV
ОтветитьI'm a loser
ОтветитьBest thing for glass removal from the crt is WD40, spray it in the gaps and leave for a few hours
ОтветитьHey Hey! look at it go!!!, when he gets it all set up, we can watch Jackie Gleason in color, while we eat lol ( epic video, I love this stuff, gonna binge a few more )
ОтветитьPlease could you point me to your vid where you explain "cut-off", or seplain again, I do no a little about electron emission...cheers.
ОтветитьThats ford for ya. Usually you get a weak 4th gear and things fall apart into the valve body and then once you get a stuck part of the valve body it immediately burns out the master clutch.
ОтветитьWhy would people buy a round tube TV in 1964 ? My folks bought a 19 inch Zenith color set in 1964 and we could see much more of the picture as it did not have a rounded side picture tube.
ОтветитьWhats happend to your video
The speed suddenly run way too fast?
Why I call explorers exploders.haha
ОтветитьNever seen a colour tube tv before.
ОтветитьWhy did some manufacturers keep building the roundy sets? When there were certain brands that went a square lookin tube?
ОтветитьIf you're having the issue of too fast playback, it fixed the issue for me by setting playback speed to 0.75.
ОтветитьMontgomery ward should do a voluntary recall on that television line to fix the cataract that most probably appeared on all their televisions after 30 years or so. a television like this that was properly cared for should NOT have a picture tube looking like that after 55 years no matter what. I will Boycott Montgomery Ward if they do not do the right thing
ОтветитьAnyone can explain me how a color decoder can work at all without a crystal but an LC circuit?
There are about 250 color clock cycles to the line, and just a few degrees of phase error is easily visible. So how did they make a long term stable LC circuit with a drift of much less than 1/1000?
Did we go into FF for a minute here and there?
ОтветитьWhere's the video of fixing the transmission??
ОтветитьDebugging a 50+ year old TV using a USB-C FLIR, and reading the manufacturers original manual on your phone you found that someone somewhere else in the entire world uploaded. I love the strange contrast in technology here.
ОтветитьFace down B*TCH UP
ОтветитьGood old bodge resistor...You go Sir!
ОтветитьIf people in 60s would watch this video they'd think that this is filmed after WW3, civilization collapsed and the only channel still on the air is a crazy religious thing.
Classic.
Don't think they ever used safety glass on console television sets in most of Europe, not that I've ever seen.
In the mid 80s you may have seen the odd set in a cabinet with smoked glass, plastic Infront..
Certainly not gloood to the Tooob though
it really does look ;like a real RCA
ОтветитьThe hateful comments and name calling i could do without
ОтветитьI never knew why they called their brand airline. what does plane travel have to do with tvs??
Ответитьthat was some fantastic diagnosing great video
ОтветитьYou have spent 15 minutes running your mouth you must really be in love with your own voice! Get on with the repair already!
ОтветитьYou have a great crt rejuvenater why don't you just give it a blast instead of just talking about it for another 15 minutes! I have been repairing tv sets for 50 years and I would have already been doing maintenance.
ОтветитьWhy don't you ever rejuvenate crts?
ОтветитьBut the first color ntsc tv receivers starts to sell on USA since 1954... I only was wondered that still have tubes to mantain them them working some 65, almost 70 years after !
ОтветитьRE stands for "round elliptical," a slightly more recent color tube without the "round" screen shape would be SRE or "semi-round elliptical"
ОтветитьRegarding the phosphors, GE seemed to deliver a better "red" than other color televisions of the era.
I never cared for the early Magnavox total automatic color, it was downright strange with fleshtones.
The Sylvania square 25" we owned delivered spectacular color for about ten years, and then it aged to the point where it was just okay.
Dam how much coffee did you drink when you was testing the tube? Lol😂
ОтветитьThe tv is how grandpa tells the story how he would go to school every day
ОтветитьLet me tell you then explorers have to say that I have a service free transmission like all these cars without lipstick but if you don't service the transmission the fluid will burn app and then you'll have that kind of figure you'll have burnt wood smelling fluid and then you'll go and break it out so do you like old school server at 50 to 80000 miles at an end on beyond like that and you'd be fine I didn't understand what some of the crossword transmissions that aren't supposed to be serviced and I'm a fact my brother still drive a one around the shit a bit and blow it up right now
ОтветитьA Ford with a bad transmission image that that's why they call them exploders .
ОтветитьYup ford is known to have valve body issues and them burning out clutches I wouldnt own one for that reason
ОтветитьJust found your channel today I know nothing about electronics but just love seeing these old style TVs working I had no idea there were still channels they could get
ОтветитьThe other type tube phosphor was sulfide and the upgrade was the rare earth type, but this well might have been just a marketing gimmick.
ОтветитьThose 6GH8's were being run full-tilt and didn't last more than like 9 months or so.
Ответить
