Ryzen 9 3900 Performance Review - The Best CPU You CAN'T Buy

I have one in my laptop right now and I can't seem to get it to go lower than 95°C when running on the AMD ultimate mode. I DON'T have enough cooling on my machine, I kind of want to remove it and drop another CPU in this, since I can.

I picked up the R9 3900 on the after market for 180.00 this week, the chip has not arrived yet but it will be here early next week. I had felt like I overpaid for this CPU but after seeing this, I'm feeling better about my purchase now. I don't think I'll need to overclock the chip for the games that I play but If I do choose to do so, will my current AMD Wraith Prism cooler be enough for it?

Friend, the fact that it's zen 2 I lose a lot in gaming technology. I also found the R 9 5900, with 65W tdp. These two options would be better than the R7 5700x. For an RTX 3060ti. 👍🇧🇷

Ok os now hat makes sense why most tests or comparisons I see are for Ryzen 9 3900 X .
It's surprising because I can just normally just buy this CPU from normal PC shop,distribution of consumer electronics,etc like any other part

you can get one in denmark for just as little as 216 euros but it's just a little faster in multicore than a stock ryzen 7 5800x

i got mine with a motherboard+processor bundle, its amazing and runs at 4350mhz without overclocking and never goes past 60c temp

I have one, I didnt feel good for not choosing ryzen 9 5000 or at least 3900X but I didnt want to pay the 200 price difference for something I wont really need.

For the price difference, the Ryzen 7 3700x actually seems like a better value. The 9 3900 seems to add about $220-250 in most prebuilts, and for the performance, I'd rather save that $250 and invest in better cooling or more storage than try and OC to get a bit more frames out of it.

I’m getting my first PC next month and it actually has this CPU in it! Would someone be able to explain overclocking to me? There’s so much I’ve been learning and this I’m stumped on.

I bought a couple of new pre-builts a few months ago with these Ryzen 9 3900's on x-570 MEG Unify's with RX 5700 XT's Sapphires, M.2 SSD's, 32gb 3600mhz RAM, AIO's, & Phantek 600s cases both for under 2300, I kinda wish I had gotten more, I didnt know the value of it all until after doing research on the parts later down the line... and seeing how hard & expensive hardware is to get now, I could probably traded one of these for a 3080, but I have decided to keep both :> one for overclocking & one to keep minty'ish for VR...

Is this worth still before 5000 release for "budget" 5-7 years. I'm currently have the option to purchase this specific CPU bundled with a ASUS TUF X570-Plus and 32GB 3200mhz Corsair Vengeance for $810 vs $1090 for the 3900X same combo.

I bought this cpu by an accident. Was really easy to mess up since didn't even know nonx are being sold.

Im currently in Japan right now and I recently seen these outside of the market as well it was going for 39,950yen and I was that's such an odd find when I was at the shop looking for RTX 3080s would snag one for the build I'm currently using but I just gonna have to wait till the 5800X hits the market
