Thanks Gracie, just getting back into music theory after retirement and your videos are very helpful
ОтветитьAgree with all the pozzie comments, plus UR cute as a baby rabbit
Maybe you could you sit at the keyboard & just quickly play each chord or suite of notes bcuz we'll hear each of those tones
I’m enjoying these lessons. I’ve been taking lessons for 3 years and this helps me review the basics from a different perspective and I appreciate you!
ОтветитьI absorbed a lot more the 2nd time I watched this. Thank you soooo much. I even wrote stuff down, took screenshots.
ОтветитьOh you answered my question
ОтветитьYou said the double sharp was an x in front of the note in sheet music, what's the symbol for a double flat?
ОтветитьI am probably on wrong track, I can see what you are doing, but cannot understand. Are you using that formula to say, in the case of E, to convert it to follow how the 1, 3 and 5 would appear in a minor scale? But in E minor the G is not flattened…
Are the dim and augmented converted into how another scale would find them?
Or perhaps are these minors, aug and diminished chords separate entities from minor scales?
Awesomly clear - thankyou
ОтветитьThis is amazing Gracie. I learn so much with how you teach. I love theory.
ОтветитьYou are an amazing teacher.
ОтветитьIntense but completely understandable to a 16 week new student. Well done
ОтветитьGreat 👍 video 📹😎
ОтветитьI think I'll be able to understand the Beato Book now. I love your videos. Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьLiterally I'm understanding things for the first time with you explaining it... I had already "learnt" circle of fifths, and triads, and scales, but... I knew nothing until I saw your videos. I love the simple approach, the patience to teach something that you know perfectly well, but know we don't at all... So being explained this in such a step-by-step fashion, even repeating "obvious" ideas, has been SO HELPFUL for me. I'm a quick learner, but I need a good method, and yours is perfect for me. THX A LOT for your content.
ОтветитьA wonderfully succinct and highly informative lesson in music theory, thank you, much appreciated, respect.
ОтветитьThese videos are gold!
ОтветитьSo the sus stands for suspicious since it's being sneaky and you can't tell whether it's major or minor? 😂😂
ОтветитьGracie is the best music theory teacher that I have found on the internet.
ОтветитьThis is fantastic. Somebody who knows the material backwards and is good at teaching it! subscribed. This is just what I need as I try and learn jazz guitar…thanks!!
ОтветитьThanks Gracie. Easy to follow instructions.
🤗
Really appreciate your knowledge and explanations. I am currently learning guitar and while the basic theory of music is the same. How the guitar is "structured" allows for "movable" shapes. Is it possible to show/demonstrate some music theory using the guitar instead of the keyboard?
ОтветитьReally great teacher.
Ответитьthank you gracie 🥰🥰🥰
ОтветитьYou are an amazing teacher. I would really like if you can tell me the chronology in which i should follow your videos!
ОтветитьAlways a clear and logical explanation. Your presentations are the best!!
ОтветитьI just learned 10 times more than I could absorb in 50+ years...tell me more.
ОтветитьGracie, your lessons have inspired me to learn more music theory not only to improve my playing, but also for it's own sake. Thank you.
ОтветитьHonestly, such a great video Gracie. In fact, I've watched two others and they're just as brill. You break things down and demystify so much for me. Thank you.
Can I ask, how do you remember all those scales off the top of your head? Is it just repetition over years or is there some sort of technique you use to recall them? It seems like the most helpful thing in the world to be able to remember the scales at the drop of a hat.
Also, how would you recommend practising these chords? Practise all 4 C triads, then move on to another key?
Thanks so much again. You're a superstar
I just discovered your channel and it is the best one for learning music, all other channels don't know how to explain or they do but they think we know all they talk about, but your channel for real is the best one I have found.
ОтветитьThanks for your help! Are there any specific worksheets which cover exactly what you’ve covered here?
ОтветитьYou are a fantastic teacher to teach music theory. You know so many patterns and tricks in music theory which make theory learning much easier and fun. Thank you! ❤
ОтветитьThanks!
Ответитьthis video is absolutely a great one. I appreciate the effort you put into creating such a valuable lesson for us. Thanks.. sooo much
ОтветитьThank you Gracie
ОтветитьExcellent clear teaching. I can understand what a double flat and double sharp is and is dependent on the key you are in. Thank you😊
ОтветитьYour usual great job ,thank you, you make things so very understandable 😊
ОтветитьI've suddenly come across your videos. Very clear music theory descriptions. Excellent.
ОтветитьThank you from the F side.
Ответитьbest Internet Music teacher By Far
ОтветитьI assume in the vid that the aug/dim chords were aug/dim MAJOR chords and that there are aug/dim minor chords too and these are easily found by applying the same logical rules Edmund
ОтветитьBest music teacher 🎉 i hope if she is still teaching now also
ОтветитьGreat lession... 🙏🎼
ОтветитьSo that's what that stuff means. Awesome sauce.
ОтветитьWow! Nicely structured! Thank you!
ОтветитьI love the way you use rare types of chord names or notations to teach little bits of information throughout another larger lesson. That is some musician quality planning, like economy picking as a teacher LOL
ОтветитьAwesome course !
ОтветитьQuestion: I think you mentioned earlier that a flat is used in reference to the scale, so how can you have a scale that starts with a flat if that makes sense?
