Those are really different lenses. What do you want to use it for?
ОтветитьExactly, I really think that the 30mm is the Ultimate Travel Lens, great for low light and landscape. And then the 85 is a telephoto great for low light, and has lots of bokeh.
ОтветитьBokeh refers to the quality of the out of focus rendering not the amount... "beautiful bokeh" would be correct, "lots of bokeh" makes no sense. I think you're looking for "it's good for shallow depth of field".
Ответитьi also like very much this lens. using it most the time. great videos. BTW. What camcorder you using now?
Ответитьif i wanted to do very tight portrait work i'd go for the 85 1.8, or if i had more money i'd buy the 85 1.4 which has just about the creamiest bokeh ever. I use the 30mm for everyday shooting in low light or group/half body portrait work.
ОтветитьHow old are you, with a d300?? Rich folks huh...
ОтветитьTake it easy on him. He's trying to help you. He seems like a very well rounded, intelligent person with a passion for photography. Thanks for the review!
ОтветитьJealous?
Ответитьactually thats bollocks there is beautiful bokeh and awful bokeh its based on more than just the amount of blur. for example harsh specular highlights are horrible...angular (non spherical) highlights are not appealing the transition between in focus and out of focus areas the blurs ability to keep colour contrast the list is huge peace brian
Ответитьwhoops sorry didnt see what you where replying to yeah that guy was talking crap and i misunderstood your comment from it being out of context. peace brian
Ответитьits pronounced bo-keh
Ответить? i allready stated i didnt see the previous post i know bokeh means blur. i thought you where saying there i no point making any definition between good and bad bokeh....because the only defining feature is the amount...and that would be stupid :P peace brian
ОтветитьDo you not know your own country? Canada is a socialist country. Everything cost more, while America is capitalistic.
Ответить@mariomalmanza i mean, I'm 17 and got both a 70-200 and a 100-400 on a 40D... With my native prices it's crazy. But I guess his a good photographer who can earn cash on his photos ;) Or has a job or two as me :)
Ответитьis this better then the 35mm f1.8?
ОтветитьPriorities :) - Gotta sacrifice the clothing for the cameras lol.
ОтветитьI disliked and left at "I've shot parties..."
