Base on all the demos of GitLab it seems like Jenkins is better when it comes to UI. As i can setup a pipeline or multibranch pipeline but create a nice and clean user interface for non-programmers to trigger jobs, select parameters, generate reports.
When i look at gitlab i don't see this friendliness. It seems like a Gitlab is similar to Ansible than Jenkins in my opinion. Even if they have similar capabilities, they are worlds apart or there are just terrible demo comparisons.

so, answer is, if you dont want dealing with jenkins plugins, jenkins is better. I prefer jenkins.

I did not understand this video or the bias in the video to the point of down-voting it... so you started with a few links which stated weaknesses of jenkins (that too one which is written by somebody else) and in your own biased way, talked about how he/she was wrong ?
Why did you not focus on presenting your own views from you own research ?
