HOW TO INSTALL DIVIDE AND CONQUER (VERSION 3)

Hey just wanted to say great video! Also wanted to let people know, because it took me awhile to get the overwrite prompt to pop up when installing. Your original third age file must be named Third_Age_3. Mine was still on Teutonic which is how I would check to make sure the original game was working. So in tricking steam to play the game you also trick the divide in conquer mod into not installing correctly. So if your mod name is changed so you can play 3.2, change the name back.

ok this better work, ive been at this mod for 24 hours now.
its not simple as click, download and copy files into the main game file.....soooo much hassle. well fingers crossed.

I already have the original third age and the 3.2 patch and when I go to install the 4.5 Divide and Conquer it asks to insert disk? What the hell is that about I didn't use a disk for anything??? Please help!

Everything was going all smooth then it looked just like the way you said but then when I tried to start the game I got “couldn’t find executable” “prolly installed in wrong folder” but I installed in the third age folder. Do you know what I did wrong?

Whenever I click install it asks for the disk but I have the steam version please help....

Sorry if this has already been answered but I would like to know if the folder that you put into the c drive as a seperate steam folder named "medieval 2" contain the whole game or mod or nothing at all?

I am having problems with the installation. I do it all likes you, but its not works. When I use LAA for medieval2.exe and kingdoms.exe, I can not launch the game. If I use LAA only with medieval.exe file, the games goes well until I pass a turn in the campaign map. When I do it, the game crashes because of unspecified error. Could you help me please?

Hello, I have followed all the instructions in the installation but when trying to open the DV3 I get a fault of (0xc0000142) and I no longer start any of the mdv2 giving me the same fault. Could you help me?

i've just gotten a new pc and on the old one it worked fine but on the new one as soon as i download it my medival II normal doesnt work anymore nor the third age or any other mods.
it says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142) click ok to close the application" and i googled it but didnt find any anwsers any idea?

So after I installed the whole thing in the Americas folder( where my third age fold is at ), my mod still opened up as the original TATW mod instead of the DAC v.3

Music and sound do not work. I installed everything correctly I don't understand why it doesn't work. Help me 😕

Whenever I click custom battle or try to start a campaign, it crashes to desktop. Any advice? It does this with TATW 3.2 and DaC.

hey man everything went smooth and as you said on the video. but a message pops and says that it didnt find both exes althoygh i did as you showed and that i may have installed the mod in the wrong folder

I do all steps correct but when I launch the game its not loading divine and quenquor is loading medivial 2.Also I had it on c drive. Another think is I try to run it as administration but it says error cannot find the m2tw or kingdoms exexutable but I have kingdoms. Exe please help 🙏. Also I have steam

I get error. Program says--Cannot find the M2TW or Kingdoms executable. You probably installed the Mod name in the wrong folder. C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\kingdoms.exe------This is where it is

so i move the medieval folder out of program 86 to the new folder steam games?

Whenever i start up the exe it starts and update to reinstall medieval 2. It doesn't seem to recognize that its in another folder

I realised why my pathway was incorrect: I had named my TA3 mod “crusades” and my crusades “crusades 1”.

The shortcut that it gives me only boots up to the default game. I tried re-installing it but it doesn't seem to work. I tried renaming the file that also doesn't seem to work because it crashes every time. Would you mind assisting me so that I can play this mod that I have always wanted to play? :D

Hi Celtic. I have a problem. I did everything right. My screen was absolutely the same as urs when you were doing the installation but for some reason no shortcut came up on my desktop. Any chance you could help me out. Plus it then updated medieval 2 and then non of my mods were working.

I have a problem i cannot explain..My install is in all ways similar and goes smoothly, I have the right location...My message pops up asking me to override, then everything installs....AND THEN.....Basically nothing happens lmao....I don't get anything in my mods, I don't get a desktop shortcut to open the submod and play it, I don't know where the hell it is and can't open it, and when I try to play anything relating all it does is it sends me to third age and frankly it's like it ever installed anything although everything is done and it's saying that DAC V.3 is installed successfully....I'm utterly confused

So yeah, for those who are having problems with the replace pop up sign. If you have your vanilla third age named british_isles, changed it back to Third_Age_3. Should fix your problem.
