This was 8th mile not quarter
Ответить🤔. That does not look like a 1/4 mile, nor 402MPH. Maybe 402kph
ОтветитьThat thing will break the sound barried given more road.
ОтветитьI'm not taking anything from this great run but it's a jet powered car so to me until I see them beat the American NHRA record in a piston combustion car I give the Americans the full advantage
ОтветитьWe have v8 top fuel dragster going 3.50s at 340-350mph so to me the American top fuel cars are better because they are piston engines nd not a jet powered fiberglass or carbon car! Nd I'm sure ones NHRA GOES BACK TO THE 1/4MILES THERE WILL BE 3.30S OR HIGH 3.20
ОтветитьI recently went to a strip for the first time and there happened to be a jet car. He let off at the 1/8th but he ran a 6.1 at 240. I can't immagine seeing a pass like this in person
ОтветитьIts a jet car they always run in 2 and 3s and ive seen top fuel hit 2 seconds alot back in the day.
ОтветитьVery slow!
ОтветитьWhat a fkn legend
ОтветитьAmazing and impressive.
ОтветитьIt's insane that there's a corner at the end!
ОтветитьWOW
ОтветитьHoly shit imagine the G force
ОтветитьIts clearly 200m and not a quarter
ОтветитьI built a model CO2 cartridge line car in school that really resembles this cars design.
ОтветитьSo basically if you stand at 5 feet in front of the car, you're being run over at 60mph
ОтветитьIs that a 84 Trans Am front end??? Ive owned probably over 13 3rd gen f bodys... a 2nd gen and a 4th gen... that really looks like an 84 TA front fascia...
Ответить402 mph. That’s ridiculous!
Ответить"Dude its stock, Stop whining about it."
ОтветитьHow do you quantify the horsepower for a jet engine? Is it the thrust multiplied by exhaust velocity? Is it the total heat of flame (which would be a considerably higher number)? Is it the equivalent power of an internal combustion engine linked to the wheels to equal it?
ОтветитьI just subscribed to your awesome channel, thank you for the history on Sammy in this particular video and the awesome content in general throughout your channel.
However… I’ll tell you right now…if you pick me for the passenger ride in your Mini Cooper Teslastien, I’ll unsubscribe faster than light can move in a quarter mile. I’m sure it’ll be absolutely amazing…to watch.
So that’s why they call those dragsters “funny cars.” If one of those many canisters of N2O springs even the tiniest of leaks, somewhere in the quarter mile stretch of pavement 3 seconds or 300 seconds, you’re going to be lol’ing just cuz no matter.
Guess you just gotta hope the leak isn’t big enough to add “rof” to any of the many laughing acronyms because no one wants to be rolling at 300mph+ whether your ass is still attached or not.
As if EV delivers like top fuel does.... No thanks.
ОтветитьMy brother in law worked at Schiphol (Amsterdam Airport) and had seen the car during his work. The car was shipped in a steel frame and he'd been standing there for a while, looking at what he thougt was a massive exhaust 😁 When I played him the video (literally a video recording) he recognized the car and finally understood why the 'exhaust' was that big. I must have played that video at least a hundred times. I had another video of a drag show, with a.o. Sammy Miller, in the US and it had a guy in it that had built a 'Wild West' stage coach copy, but with a big V8 in the back. It threw a lot of flames and ran almost the entire track on it's rear wheels. Lost the video, searched the internet, but never found it again.
Just realized how the meaning of the words 'drag show' can change in time 😁
nobody has beat this record since wwaaaaaay back then?????????????????????
ОтветитьInsane!
ОтветитьMotor Magazine covered this story and I still have my copy. Never knew he died
ОтветитьThat's an aeroplane without wings
ОтветитьElectric is dumb and far dirtier
ОтветитьMust be like the hand of god pushing you forward😮
ОтветитьAcceleration doesnt exist when he took of lol 😂
ОтветитьThat car is uncanny under acceleration
ОтветитьI’m more impressed how the guy can take that many g force without fainting
ОтветитьRealy I like it
ОтветитьThat’s 1/8 mile you absolute bafoon
ОтветитьFarfrumrunnin= vw
ОтветитьDid you ever make the electric mini Cooper
ОтветитьCan anyone calculate how many gs he experienced?
ОтветитьPut some wings on it and fly around the world
ОтветитьWhy does not everyone on earth know about this.
I have been talking to people all my life and almost nobody knows about this dragster vanishing point !!!!
Why is not every car newpaper writing articles about this amazing car at least once a year !!!!
------------------------------------------------...........................................'
Thats gotta feel awesome
ОтветитьI don’t consider this as a racing car. The wheels are not propelling the car forward.
What’s next? A big explosion to push a car forward with warp speed?
This drag racing is about grip and torq. Finding a way to push and pull using wheels.
Now it’s a rocket. Russians make the fasted rockets in the world. So.. they could win this drag race.
His Balls tho🤔
ОтветитьIt is rocket propelled, not a real car with powered wheels. This is a fake record.
ОтветитьHuman physical limitation started to creep up, rocket dragster pilots would often have severe tunneling or just full blackouts during their runs for few short moments, barely recovering to keep them in the lane and deploy their braking systems. You could probably change their seating geometry and give them g-suits but the limit would still creep up really fast and easy as all it takes to go faster in a rocket car like this is to increase the nozzle size.
ОтветитьI never knew about this before.I always thought Top Fuel were the fastest ever on the 1/4 mile.
ОтветитьThe GOAT, IMHO .
ОтветитьSo not axle driven then.
