Yeah but no thanks. I tried Guitar Rig 6 and 7 demo. They won't even open and they crash my DAW. Reaper and Protools. Standalone won't even open. Did all the steps on the website to troubleshoot. No help. The only plugin I've ever used that simply won't open. Maybe it's the way my Windows PC is configured but literally every other piece of software I've ever used works. Audio, video, 3D, you name it. Just Guitar Rig. I'll stick to Neural DSP and Overloud. They actually open. NI you really need to get your coders in there and fix that issue. From what I read on the forums many people are having problems with it crashing.

Sorry, but I won't buy it anymore! Reason: As long as NI doesn't finally bring a suitable Guitar Rig Kontrol foot controller onto the market again that is tailored to the software, as a guitarist I feel like I've been ripped off, and I won't give NI any more money so that they take the money from us guitarists for the development of hardware for keyboard players and ignoring us guitarists for years. I'm out.

I got this with Izotope's Music Production bundle, and it doesn't even work. I've probably spent 6 hours trying to figure out why neither kontakt 7 or Guitar Rig 7 will even launch. So pathetic to install brand new software and it won't even open on the desktop. Hey NI, figure out how to make an installer that works.

As a person who has used Guitar Rig a lot since 2009 in the past, every single sound on this video sounded canned and algorithmic and worse than a bad stomp pedal. On top of that I just heard the new 5K Two-Rock Deluxe Custom today and the difference between analog tube and emulation is staggering; I'm now worried to record my guitars into digital. I'm afraid NI has gone the way of 5th Ed. D&D: just sell whatever it is to children, forget the upgrades and make it as usable as possible by the most folks. This is shame because NI samplers and original Massive are amazing.

I rarely used GR6, GR5 gets used EVERY project. I will deff try this but still not convinced… we’ll see 🤔🤔

things like nureal amp modler and proteus will take the guitar amp sims softwares to the next level..specially when they are free for now..guitar rig , amplitue , and all those nureal dsp stuffs need to be more edgy now if they want to be at lead..but non the less..guitar rig is a legand and will always work as a Jack of all trades..

Why should i buy?

Can Native Instruments guarantee version 7 will not be abandoned in terms of new ICM modules as was version 6? I'm asking, because I heard many promises from NI when version 6 was released and you didn't deliver on any of them. So, once burned, I'm not gonna invest in 7 unless I'm made sure 7 is properly supported in terms of new ICM amps and FX. I need a confirmation from NI team before I proceed with payment. Is there some sort of an established schedule that NI has at the moment, according to which you will be releasing new ICM modules regularly? Not just one or two modules in 3 years, obviously, but regularly, at least once in 3 months. At least.

I was a huge fan of Guitar Rig 3 back in the day, but unfortunately I don't see Guitar Rig as a real competitor in the amp sim world nowadays. One thing that probably could change that is including a Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) module in Guitar Rig. NAM is open-source and under the MIT license (meaning there's basically no limitations or conditions to the use of NAM's code), so NI could definitely include NAM as a module in Guitar Rig. It would be an immense improvement to Guitar Rig, IMO.

Not exactly the most informative product introduction video but as a long term user of Guitar Rig I'll likely upgrade. I use GR as much for an effects rack as for amp simulation. I also use SofTube Marshall which I think is the best in the biz for 1959 Marshall but GR is a solid choice for anyone because it covers a lot of ground. You won't run out of ideas when using it that's for sure.

I'm 100% getting this with the iZotope MPS 6 upgrade.
