9 Things Players Should Do In RDR2 Online (TRADER ROLE Hunting) - [ Red Dead Online Roleplay ]

I usually like the hunt north of strawberry near the trapper. There's a tiny rock which we can jump up on. Use 1 predator bait. And alot of animals come to feast. Ranging from 5-6 grey wolf, 2-3 wild boars, 5 valley cayote, 1 grizzlie bears/American black bear, 1 cougar. You can even hunt squirell, jack rabbit, badger, racoon, muskrat, or any birds around that area while you wait. Brining the wagon and putting it aside. Just going back and forth carrying carcasses.

For small animals what is the best weapon to get perfect carcass or pelt?

The Trader role is so darn fun. Feels really immersive and I love actually using my camp.

I like to use hunting wagon and have camp somewhere where there's flat hunting ground with a lot of animal respawns like west elizabeth, like that flowery area. I just drive around in my wagon, and shoot every animal, bird, critter, deer, etc and load up all the carcasses in the wagon. Usually I only get a short distance away before my wagon is near full, then I turn back and there's usually more animals on return trip. The advantages are that carcasses are worth more and it saves on the skinning animation time. Downside is it feels like more of a grind.

i thought if you fast travel with a carcass on your horse you lose it?? wish you would have shown how to donate from your wagon once you've called it multiple times. i don't have a wagon yet because other videos have said it's a waste of money but now I'm rethinking it lol. thanks for the tips, i'm level 70 something and find the trader role so tedious because it seems the needle doesnt' move at all for my donations!

My camp is placed near Blackwater lake and plain trees there's many 3 star bears and dears there but less trees so it's another great place to hunt.

how come no one ever talks about how u can get a temporary horse from npc or the wild and store extra animals on their ?

I started playing around 2 weeks ago and Im glad to see this is basically what I do. My camp is in the tall trees with all that deer, elk, bears, foxes and such I just keep dragging back to camp.

If you have the naturalist role, just skin legendary animals and turn that in to cripps for a ton of materials.

If not, set your camp in New Hanover just on the other side of the train tracks from the gang’s camp in story mode and turn in perfect buck/deer carcasses (you can put one on your horse and drag one with the lasso if you dob’t have the hunting wagon) for a decent amount of materials, then animals respawn when you turn the carcasses in to cripps.

A lot of people say doing short deliveries with 1 product is the best way to get xp, but resupply missions get you 500xp as opposed to 250 for deliveries, can be completed just as quickly, aren’t nearly as boring and repetitive, and allow you to actually make money off the role when you want to make a full delivery.

Then, when you get the medium/large wagons, you’ll get a lot more xp for full deliveries and will have no problem leveling up super quickly.

Desert is the worst place for a camp spent 5 minutes looking for an animal when I do it's only one I'll pass putting my camp there new hangover has way more animals than the desert

I hate this role it's just endless grind and so repetative...players want heist not to be a slave.

Wow, that whole thing about dismissing your horse and being able to call your hunting wagon, and then dismissing it, has helped out a lot. I'm trying to decide whether I should take trader or not, but what stops me is the unwanted PVP it invites.

That auto-aim is fucking easy mode, god damn..

you can turn off the reticle wich makes everything so much easier

I don't have to pay no money to travel to any places because of the achievement buying fight unique horses.

I never carry condor carcasses. A 3 star condor is worth nearly exactly what 3 condor feathers is worth(you'll get 3 feathers if you pluck it). And they don't take up space on your horse, they stay in your satchel. You can carry 30 of them. That will fill about half of your materials bar. I save them up for when I want to collect and want my trader role still producing. A condor feather is worth more than a cougar tooth.

They say to use long scope rifles but I use the Springfield rifle and it still works. Guess it want you to be at a distance.

I Can Only Kill Alligators and Wolf's but if attacked by Male Deer he dies. But the Deadlier the animal the Higher it Fills Crips compared to Bunnies unless it's a Zombie Killer. Bunny

Is there a way to manually tag when in dead eye, I think its story mode where you can do that but I remember doing it in online idk

Use a 2 wheel shotgun wagon and call you're horse to follow along then shoot you're target while on the wagon with a Carcano sniper riffle loaded with Express rounds and aim for the head moving the sight around to the head on a 3 star deer or pronghorn for a perfect kill. Then load your kill on the horse and get em to follow you to the nearest good size rock. Back your wagon against the rock then take your perfect kill off the horse and carry it up on the rock to the back of the wagon and try drop it in the wagon. You can fit 4 to 5 kills on the wagon and 1 on the horse. 6 kills all up for you're butchers traders table.

i know it is an old video, but it is way better to pluck the condors and vultures, the feathers give 1,5 worth of material each, 3 feathers of every 2 and 3 stars, plus, you get to keep the sadle free for other medium animals. your 3 star eagle gave you 4.38 value, 3 feathers would be 4.5 plus the tallon, also 1.5 i think, that will give you 40% more than a whole eagle
