Can you do a tutorial on removing hair from the film gate? I have some old film transfers and this is a huge problem as they show up randomly and inconsistently throughout clips. I haven’t seen anyone address this yet. If you can solve this, I’ll be your new best friend.!

Appreciate very much your approach. I have a Moving Clip (multicoloured Forest) a Word is also over It. I want to remove the Word . World is sometimes slightly moving (sidewise). Please advise me How do I remove the word ?

Do you have any video how to delete water drop from lens on footage? i flew with drone and ant unfortunately make another shot. and on some parts on a video i can see the water drop from a little bit of snowing. kinda annoying :( thank you for help

You can do this without Patch Replacer tool in free version thou. it's very easy. just duplicate the video track then goto color tab, use tracker window, select place to replace then move it with inspector.

Oh Yeah! Nice to know this is there - I see it getting used if not a lot, then at least on a regular basis. Agree completely with picking up the Studio version of Resolve. (For me that was worth the price just for the de-haze effect.) Anyway, many thanks for highlighting this! Would appreciate a quick one on applying this to moving objects if you get a chance.

Exciting, but disappointed that it is only in the paid version. Are you sure there isn't a way to fake it in the free version?

Non-studio version: for static background, you usually have some frame without the object and can use masking. If not or if it is not so static, you can duplicate the track and move it a little under the mask (and blur mask edges, etc. if needed). Thus, you kind of perform this effect manually. Btw, the desk looks better with the remote, it is not so empty and sad 😃

I never have any luck with automated object removal. I just end up making a backplate and masking.

LOL at the end. I can not tell you how many times I have done that! Both in audio and video production. First take was fine, but it could be "better". Second...not so much. Third... Well you get the idea. The real kick in the teeth (figuratively speaking!) is when you go through a "practice" take and nail it perfectly....but didn't actually record it. ...Not that I have ever done THAT before.🤣

Another way is to use it is in the color page where you can also track it instead of going to fusion, great video as always.
