50 MHz is bottom of ham 6 m band. You created interference to weak signal operations. Hopefully not too much 😮

This country would fall in chaos if people couldnt use their cell phones or charge electric cars not to mention real issues of people dying in the south lands with no A/C.The anger of heat and frustrated folks would make the murder rates go to a alltime high.

Is it true that an EMP will fry(destroy) all of the integrated circuits and microprocessors in computers and televisions?

A unhardened grid doesn't stand a chance.. an EMP would not be good. People will resort to cannibalism in less than 30 day's without Power.

If the E1 causes malfunction of digital relays, and they fail to protect from saturation due to ground currents from the E3, that would be bad news. If telecoms also went out, might be difficult for the operator to find out what happened.

My question is why aren't we using EMP also know as IMPULSE TECHNOLOGY in the grid to power are civilizations If it's so powerful.
It would definitely give fusion and Vision a easy run for its money.

'Ey Grady!
(Or like... 'Yer so good at engineering/science I ALMOST wanna' address u as: "Prof. Hillhouse" XD - Also finally read the description of a video... Revealing yer last name... Which I had always wondered about. For a while there I was operating under the... "Pretense"...? "Paradigm?... I was like: "Well that dude there is "Grady"... Just 'grady'... It's like "Madonna" or "Prince" or sumthin'."

With that weird preamble out of the way let's get to the odd comment!

It's about the ad at the end!
I've watched a LOT of videos hawking "Nebula." I like science what can I say? Big "Isaac Arthur" fan here.

Anyway yer the only guy I've seen "break" Nebula's "weird format."

Almost everyone sponsored by or using Nebula reads the same script...
In which... All these creators state that "Nebula is MY streaming service I created."

Like... You ALL made it XD?

No.. Ya didn't! I'll give that classification to the first 10 people who signed on to the project... But No "Up & Atom", No "Legal Eagle"... Veritasium you actually MIGHT be one of those "first 10 guys"...

Anyway ya didn't claim ya made Nebula... And one weirdo commenter recognizes that!

The content of the video was great as always. I'll be researching about how Earth's magnetic field "deforms & 'snaps back'."
Like... The mechanism behind that MUST be interesting... And why ain't that happening at the Speed of Light?
I can see why a thing like that would go at "c"... But I can't come up with a reason it would go at ANY OTHER speed.

To Wikipedia!

And that's what I think.

Read in the Bible starting in Revelation 6:12. What it describes is the sun micronovaing and what it does to the earth. That is only the beginning of hell followed by 7 more years of hell on earth. (It all does not have to happen. Read the last two verses in the Old Testament. You have all these perverts -- our government is full of them -- going after your kids now; what are YOU going to do about it???)

Does the DC current produced with the E3 can desynchronise the diferent power plants? Indeed they take diferent levels of perturbations due to their diferent locations...?And produce a black out of a big portion on the grid, even all the connected plants ?

A lot of these major transformers installed in the US are made in China that is made with firmware and softwares that are made in China. China considers the USA its #1 enemy. Chinese Government and businesses are one in the same. So essentially the CCP has installed powergrid infrastructure in the USA.

Energy conservation still holds.
The larger the affected volume the smaller the energy density is, until it reaches the one of the Sunshine traversing a surface of about 1300 watts per square meter for a fraction of a second. That causes no damage whatsoever.
Easy to calculate for a explosion of 10 kilotons equivalent chemical energy.
The pulse divides the energy in a magnetic field in Tesla and an electric field in volt/meter. so what are those values?

One factor im surprised you didnt cover in this that I believe we are all curious about is all the computerized equipment on a personal level that would be needed to conduct task such as fixing the things that got messed up on the power grid. Vehicles, service trucks, would the emp fry the sensitive electronics in modern computer controlled vehicles? For those of us still running the classics, would it effect the simple computers of yesteryear for electric ignition. Lastly for those running absolute antiques with points ignition systems, would an emp induce enough current in an ignition coil to wreck it? The classic diesel engines with their purely mechanical injection systems are the only internal combustion engines that i know for certain would still operate if the cranking systems were intact or of mechanical design. Batteries is another curiousity.

Not too mention a nuclear event isn't going to be one emp it'll be several across the whole country. So more events to cause overlapping damage.

Electric grids has a lot of protective systems, they will work out.
